Friendly, professional staff, reasonably priced.Stayed two nights end of June. Great welcome, good position near beach, demi-pension menu good and reasonable price served by friendly, efficient chap. Good private parking in busy village with plenty of good, local shops. Our kind of place - unpretentious but does what it does well. Enid Holmes, Kendal

Brassiere evening visitPopped in to the brassiere for dinner on Sunday evening as most restaurants in the village are closed on sundays. Delightful place well supported by French couples and small groups which I always take to be a good sign. Had the mussels and chips with excellent Leffe blonde beer flavoured with cloves. Do try it if you get the chance. I had to have a second just to confirm how much I liked it. My dining partner enjoyed a cheese omelette and green salad. Desert of creme caramel and ile flotant were delicious too. Lovely service and nice atmosphere. Bill a shade under 40 euro so all good on price too.

Another good stayWe've stayed here many times before; it is an excellent simple hotel in the town centre but just a few yards from the beach. We had a room (they are small) at the rear and although quiet we prefer the front - the full size windows with a Juliet balcony give a much better feeling of space and it's great to watch the coming and goings in the town. We love St Pierre; small, attractive with a great beach. We booked a last minute room and the only option was half board which suited us just fine. Excellent value for money and great quality. But there is no obvious choice; the night we stayed there was only a fish option which was OK but my wife who doesn't eat meat could have been in for a shock if it was an all meat menu. The food is excellent, but we feel there should be a printed menu with a limited choice - we realise that a vegetarian option in 2018 is just a bit too out of reach in a hotel like this! As usual breakfast was excellent - and of course we will stay again.

The best crab (tourteau) I ever hadWe arrived in pouring rain in this normally always full restaurant. The service was amazing, kind, very friendly. My husband raved about the freshest mussels, the bottle of Muscadet we had was very good, I loved the crab and the fromage blanc, the coulis being real raspberries, never had such a good sauce. Our son liked the Croq monsieur and wanted a second having of the crème brûlée. Highly recommended!
