A very large area far away from the city

Prime location, 70 km away from Benguela, 20 km of sand track before arriving at the lodge. Mixed feeling. Not sure if management is made of trained professional. We did not feel really welcome there. Rooms need maintenance, mosquito nets are broken, hundreds of insects were entering the room. To the extent that our friends had to request a room change. We managed with insecticide but did not sleep well ! The food is okay, but not more, price are very high. Would recommend but be careful of the room you're given.

Mixed feeling - kind personnel but incompetant receptionist and dangerous behaviour (no pester control for room)

Personnel is very kind and the location looks nice. BUT If you rent a room (14000 kwanza for 6 sqm), then you will sleep with a bench of insects (including a scorpion we had to kill ourselves). There is a definite lack of management of the room that does not include pester control. We then moved to the bungalow (22000 kwanza per night) that are very lovely. However if you stay 2 nights, don`t expect them to change your towels or do your bed - this is apparently not included in the price. The overall is overpriced and definitely the rooms should not be more than 6000 kwanza as the other pusadas. No chairs for children lunch - that is not easy then to have lunch or dinner as they cannot sit properly. It took us 1 hour to get the bill sorted. Receptionists trying to do several things at once and finally not managing properly and in a timely manner any.

Excellent day trip to the lodge

Although we didn't stay at the lodge we visited one of the bungalows and would definitely stay there in the future. We were the only people there midweek and the staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. My husband and I went there with our 18 month old son and had lunch, relaxed in the swimming pool, enjoyed a game drive and then had dinner. Beautiful views and hotel, a lovely paradise. We saw giraffes, zebra, Orynx, water buffalo and several smaller antelopes on the game drive, my only suggestion would be to have somebody as a guide to explain more about the animals and the game reserve, how ever we all enjoyed it. The food was good and they were happy to change the dishes slightly to accomadate us. Lovely, would definitely recommend.

    OMG Beautiful

Highly recommend this beautiful place. Absolutely stunning. Lovely staff. Great food and drinks. Spotless rooms. A fire pit lit for us to sit round in the evening after dinner which was super. Thanks for a fab stay.
