Delicious food and a lovely place to stayArrived later than expected and was shown our room - really clean, loved the decor. We knew straight away we were in for a treat and it just got better - superb food prepared and served by the owner - delicious and unusual pasta - bed was so comfy. You might well not get the warmest of welcomes or constant chat but what you do get is great food well served and presented in a lovely environment we will return it was a seriously good meal.....

Was so excitedWe were coming to this little B&B after our B&B in Florence highly recommended it. My husband and I were so excited about the food and hospitality. Unfortunately when we arrived we did not get either. The entrance was locked--luckily we had a cell phone and called the number on the door and the owner answered and said someone would let us in in about 15 minutes. We were let in and pretty much left on our own. There were no toiletries in the bathroom, it was freezing! We let the shower run hot water to generate some heat. The restuarant was closed (I understand that is no one's fault). The internet did not work, we used the password the owner text us, but would not work. The room and house in general were super cute it was just kind of eerie being there with other guests and no inn keeper. The BB is definitely super cute, and the town is so adorable. I would love to give this place another chance bc it was so highly recommended, we just had a bad experience. If you go to Tuscania, only stay for one night--more than enough time!

Delicious FoodWhile I cannot comment on the hotel portion of this property, I can say we did enjoy our dinner at the restaurant which has inside and outside dining areas. It being a warm evening my wife and I sat outside and had a wonderful meal at this establishment. Please be aware Tuscania is very European in that food serving and restaurant openings do not begin until 8PM. We sat outside in a very quaint little garden area. The food was delicious and well prepared. However, be aware that the mosquitoes will eat you alive outside. Now this was no fault of the restaurant, but be sure if you are prone to mosquitoe bites that you wear plenty of repellant! Note it did not help that I was wearing shorts that evening which lead to an insect feast. Also note very little English was spoken at the restaurant which made ordering difficult at times.

Tuscania TreatWe were in Tuscania for only one night and the food choices seemed a bit daunting. We had noticed this restaurant as we wandered through the town earlier and the menu and the outdoor garden area appealed. We were pleased the rain held off and arrived to be seated outside. It was a quiet week night and we had lovely service and a discussion with other customers and the owner/chef as well who we enjoyed a chat about food and wine. With a primi each of pasta - one lamb and the other tomato, basil and walnut - a perfect size serve, as we were also having a secondi. Both were delicious fresh and tasty. But for us the the bocconcini of coniglie (small succulent pieces of rabbit)with a light fresh tomato concasse was sensational ! Bread including home cooked rolls, and a nice bottle of merlot - completed this lovely experience. Highly recommend.
