Loved the place and the new owner!

When I stayed at the place, the new owner just took over the business from the old owner. Giuliano is a very nice Italian guy who speaks his languages very well. He explained a lot about the interesting points to visit in the region. Giuliano is also the chef cook. He worked around the world and found his new business in this hotel. Good food and especially for hotel-guests a 10% discount was a very nice gesture. In the restaurant a fireplace and a lot of atmosphere with the old fresco. The hotelroom was clean, in a cosey old style, looking out over the rooftops of the village and the mountains and quiet. The new owner started with the redecoration. Guiliano, thank you for the very pleasant stay and your hospitality. I hope my review will help readers to understand that you are a new owner, aiming for a high standard for the hotel and the restaurant. Thats not easy if the old one made some mistakes and therefore bad reviews. Good luck building up your own good reputation, with a good kitchen, the charming hotel and you as host! See you back at my next stay! PS; my feet were warm and with this owner the heating was working good ;-)

    Great food, very charming hotel!

Warm welcome, loved the chateaubriand! Very charming hotel in the center of the village. Hospitality big plus and everyone is relaxed, friendly helpful. Thanks for the tips to visit some fairs. Specially liked the terraces with the flowers to read and relax. Will surely come back this fall for a week of relaxation!

    A classic...

Very friendly staff and a welcoming feel when I stayed. The rooms are clean and quaint. This is the type of place one would come to to get away from life. One thing I enjoyed was the smells from the kitchen... it so reminded me of when I was a boy and my Italian grandmother was cooking up a storm. They offer breakfast and I hope to try dinner here but have been dragged all over northern Italy (ie, I don't think that will happen) Great location near just about anything you can think of... I am sure I will be staying again.

    Viva la Dolce

The room was clean and quaint and a great place for a good nights sleep. The bed was comfortable. We had the use of a terrace right outside our room where we could watch the breakfast being set up in the 500 year old courtyard. The rooms are in a historical 200 year old building which is being renovated to meet specs of Italian government to stay historical. The breakfast items were plentiful, the American coffee strong and the cappuccino scrumptious. Our dinner there was very good. One must remember that the Italian dinner is a four course meal, so when you order a dish it is considered to be part of the big picture, I.e. portion is small enough to allow for other course... The owner is very informative about sights worth seeing and suggestions of where to go. The place is closed from Jan 6 through March. We highly recommend this place.
