  Stay Away! Dirty, Plumbing issues, Runned-down

  This hotel visit was part of a 2 weeks China group tour and so we did not have any say or selection of our hotel stay. This hotel is runned down. There were tub drainage issues. The tub had mold and mildew. The bathroom smelled. The glass on the window was broken and the 2 glass panels were stuck to each other so when we attempted to close one side of the window, the other side went with it. This hotel is 3 long signal lights from the main shopping center and is walkable but it is a good 20 minute walk. We went to the local pharmacy to purchase anti-itch cream for the mosquito bites and we were swarmed by begging children and women. This was in the afternoon and the sun was beginning to set and it appeared that the beggars come out at dusk.

  Very nice hotel

  I stayed at the Litian Hotel as part of a tour group, and thought it was a very good hotel. The bathroom was large by Chinese standards, and the room was also large. The room and the bathroom was very clean. As part of the stay I had two meals at the hotel--dinner and breakfast. Both were good but nothing special. The breakfast did have Western foods such as eggs, sausage links, and cereals. It also had a large number of Chinese food on the buffet. I also enjoyed this hotel because it had CNN International, HBO, and MTV. After being in China and only able to see the government English language channel, it was a welcome reprieve to see CNN. The Litian Hotel is very convenient to downtown, and is a very pleasant walk. I would stay in the Litian Hotel again.

  Good location

  Litian hotel is close to railway station and Daguanyuan. It is suitable for business traveler. Room and service are ok. Four star level but not many modern elements. But it is fine. Good value and good price. You can visit the city in convenience. So recommend.

  Budget value and best

  The best part was the breakfast, they have a huge spread. Worst part was communicating in English. The front desk needs atleast one person who can comfortably speak English. Most of the time was communicating with guests to make them understand what I need.

  Very Very Chinese

  Rooms are large and well maintained but the decor is very depressing, its very difficult to converse with the staff as only the manager speaks a bit of English. Very friendly staff and are always ready to help, but they have to understand what you need. breakfast spread is very Chinese an not much of a Continental spread. Location is not great and at he hotel is always busy with conferences and meetings.
