  Good old fashioned service.

  Well situated on the main road and ideal if visiting the major hospitals. Clean and tidy with well appointed large rooms. Good parking and accessibility. Easy access to Town Centre and eateries. A Classic Motel.

  Great Motel, but let down this time

  We have stayed at the Wilson previously and were very glad when a cancellation meant I had again booked here - the last room available within miles. On arrival I was directed to a Suite, very lavish, full kitchen, king bed in the bedroom, dining table, large comfortable lounge and a huge arm chair, certainly a surprise. Just as I arrived there was some emergency with a leaking water service so the Manager forgot to give me milk for the teas, a tray of teas, instant coffee and bikkies along with other quality toiletries was provided and two of the nicest soaps I have had for a long time. There was a Coffee pod machine, but no pods and although the kitchen was supplied with good quality crockery, there was no salt and pepper - and the cutlery was the cheapest. Little things like this just make a difference. Luckily, Aldi is nearby so solved the milk problem there but could not find reasonable priced salts etc., The Workers Club is a short walk, along with a number of other takeaways so meals were readily available. I suppose there were so many events simultaneously in Lismore and Casino that standards could slip a bit when fully booked?

  Great Location

  I loved Wilson Motel. I was greeted by a gentleman and his baby ( who tried to eat my invoice) :) The Wilson was close to an Aldi, Chinese Restaurant called Little Nonya and had very nice food. It is only 2 mins diagonal from the motel. There is a cake shop further up the road, a KFC and a Hungry Jacks so on this strip you won't go hungry. There is also an RSL if you keep waling further up and you can get takeaway meals from there too .The room has a kettle, cutlery crockery air conditioning and microwave. I had two chairs in my room which were great to be able to watch tv. It is situated on the main road but is set back from the road and was quiet.Everything was clean except the bathroom sadly. The floor had many black hairs as did the shower recess and a large black hair on the top left of the basin in the bathroom. I spoke to front desk who to their credit had the floor cleaned for me. Sadly when I mentioned the bathroom floor I thought that would include the shower recess so I still had hairs in the shower, I washed them down but stood on a mat to have a shower as I didn't feel that it was that clean. The rest of the room was spotless I'm not sure what happened to the bathroom.By reading other reviews I'm sure it must be a "one off" never the less a little disconcerting. I caught a taxi most places like to the showground but I did walk from the motel to the showground. May have taken an hour or so ( I wasn't counting) but in a taxi only 10 mins or so. The main bus interchange is also a walkable distance took me about 25 mins but in a taxi probably 5 mins. The taxi service in Lismore is great and all the Taxi drivers know where they are going and it is prompt service. I will stay again for the location.

  Staff are friendly and more than eager to help. The motel is located in a great location, only minutes from the CBD, Lismore Square and many food outlets. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Ballina is only a half hour drive away.

  Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and great location!

  This was my first time in Lismore for business and I was pleasantly surprised at the range of facilities the Motel offered as well as it's central location. The room I was in was quiet and peaceful and having the car parking facility outside the front door was fantastic. The staff were attentive and friendly and only too happy to help out when needed. Definitely would recommend!
