Considerate and welcoming hotel in an isolated part of Sardinia. Perfect for 1 weekWe stayed for 1 week here, and I'd agree with the other positive reviews - friendly staff, great food, and a nice location. The resort is about 40 minutes from Olbia airport. The Thomas Cook transfer team was quick and easy to find. When we arrived our rooms weren't ready, but we had immediate access to the pool and lunch. The hotel is quite isolated so we relied quite heavily on rental vehicles and trips when we wanted to get off site, but they do offer a free shuttle bus to the nearest beaches and town in the evenings (2.50 pp). Taxis are hard to come by, and expensive, but the reception staff were super helpful when we were trying to arrange taxis and scooters. The pool and resort is very picturesque. The staff put on lots of activities such as aqua aerobics and a foam party. There's tennis and table tennis on site too. We don't have children, but the kids club looked fun. Many guests are Italian. I would say 60% Italian, 10% German, 10% French, 20% English - so understandably the kids club was Italian, and maybe shy British kids would struggle. It wasn't a problem for us, and we enjoyed the mixture of cultures! The sunbeds on the beach were provided by the hotel and included in the price. They also had sunshades you could take with you if you went out for the day, which was very thoughtful. The food was different every night. Always so many options; lots of choice including vegetarian, some gluten free, & child-friendly too. Classic Sardinian dishes, alongside pizza and pasta etc. The wine was cheap and disappointing, but otherwise the food couldn't be faulted. You have the same table for the whole stay. We originally didn't like being next to the buffet so we asked to move and afterwards we had a lovely outside table. They were brilliant at doing lunch boxes and take away breakfasts if you requested it (if you weren't going to be in resort). I would recommend you bring/buy a refillable bottle for water as the cups are small. The trips offered were limited and expensive. We went for the Costa Smerelda one (61 each) and the coach took us to three different spots on the north coast. It was fine, and nice to see more of the island, but if you really want to see Sardinia you should rent a car or bikes! Overall a nice stay. A week was perfect but I think any longer would've been too long for us to stay. We had done all that the hotel had to offer within three days. If you like relaxing round a pool, or on a beach, then this would be perfect. Top tips: bring your own bottles, rent a bike/car, and learn a little Italian before you arrive! Enjoy!

TerribleWe went to Liscia Eldi resort on a holiday arranged by Citrus holidays. It was absolutely awful. The resort was nothing like the website photo, which seemed to show it was near the sea. But it was a long walk across fields to the sea, where most of the tiny beach belonged to other hotels, with only a small public section. There was a steep slope into the sea, making it dangerous. We tried the shuttle to La Cinta beach, but this was a disaster, being dirty, crowded and noisy - so much for white sand beaches and shallow waters. The Citrus holidays advert said accommodation would be in a studio room. But this was in fact part of a chalet, a long walk from the restaurant area. As the weather was pretty awful when we were there, most of the grounds were flooded, and we had to paddle through ankle deep water to get to the restaurant area. There were paving stones along some of the route, but they were too slippery to walk on. The restaurant area was pretty small and very crowded. Mealtimes were like feeding time at the zoo, with a great rush when the restaurant doors opened. The dining room', was actually several small areas, one of which had a big table in the middle, around which people milled, making it very difficult to get to any food. As for all meals and drinks included, that was a joke. Some fruit juices were included, but not others; some spirits were included, but not others; you could get a cup of tea till 3.30pm, then everything shut down. I could go on and on. It was the worst holiday we have ever experienced, and we shall certainly not use Citrus holidays again if this is the standard to which they adhere. However, there were two bright sparks on our holiday. One was a visit to San Teodoro evening market, which was pretty and quaint. The second was our final evening, when we found a quiet corner behind the bar building to have an after dinner drink. Along came two of the staff, who set up microphones, and started the most incredible song session. They started by singing their own music, and, as more people became attracted to the area, started asking for requests. Their repertoire was very wide, in several languages, and the audience joined in. Definitely the best bit of the holiday.

Great holiday - nice week in the sun.Family of 4 (2 x adult children) visited in early September 19. You will enjoy this holiday if you are looking for a fairly quiet location (you can walk into town in 20 mins or catch a bus in the evening) and enjoy taking it easy. The rooms are very clean and the hotel staff are friendly. The food is a buffet but we found it to be of good/reasonable quality. There are a couple of beaches within easy walking distance and we enjoyed both of them. No complaints whatsoever about the pool or beaches. We hired a car for 2 days which gave as opportunity to explore Sardinia a little more and we would recommend this. The hotel has predominately Italian guests but for us that is part of the holiday.. if that is not for you then you will not enjoy this hotel. Perhaps if you had mobility issues/very young children the layout of the hotel may be an issue (??) but for us we enjoyed the open spaces and low rise buildings. Key question - would we visit this hotel again? Yes - if you are looking for an informal hotel, primarily aimed at Italian families in a great (quiet) location and if you do not mind walking a bit, then we would recommend it. Great week in the sun for our family.

making memoeries with our familyBeautiful location, walk to beach from resort, great for snorkelling, swimming in sea, resort staff treated English customers differently, (many English customers said the same), CONS ....... Pool, reception staff the most rude, Kids club had no English speaking staff so you couldn't use this facility if you wanted to. Pool was green for 2 days then they used 10 tubs of chemical opened after 2 hours didn't see any testing before opening. Minibus driver spoke no English & took us to night market in dark couldn't explain to us where he was picking up us at middnight PROS ........Food was fresh and tasty, plenty of it, especially if you like fish, walking distance to beach, plenty of sunbeds around pool and at the 2 beaches in walking distance Thomas Cook holiday Reps Joanna & Sandra where amazing
