Good hotel in very quiet villageStayed here for one night on our way back from Bulgaria. Arrived a bit late (21.30) to find out that there is no staff at reception desk. Key to the room was on the desk. Room was excellent. Nice, spacious and clean. Unfortunately no possibilities of connecting to internet because you need to get login/password at reception desk. A bit old fashioned. Next morning we had a great breakfast in the garden. Staff from the restaurant (and reception) very service minded. Balance between price and quality is good. The surrounding area of the hotel is very quiet. There are some restaurants but you better be there in time because after 21.00 everything is closed ( except for the pizzeria where we were able to drink a glass of wine) If you're looking for a good balance between price / quality than this is an excellent hotel. Great rooms and friendly staff. The hotel should consider another way of providing internet for their guests.

Good Price /Quality ratioI stayed in this hotel for one night on a business trip I liked: - good / clean rooms - wifi worked well and was free - breakfast was Ok The price / quality ratio was certainly good The hotel is located in a quiet village outside of Passau. There was an opportunity to go for a walk in nature after work . The village however did not have much of a food / restaurant choice - I ate at the local pizzeria - and was bit too dead for me in the evening .But if you like a quiet evening after work - you may enjoy this hotel a lot .

A place to restWe got there with a group of bikers. When I've booked it was the only available place near Passau. What I didn't know is that the hotel is on top of a hill and biking till there was not easy. The maps shows some bike trails that do not exist and at some point we have to go down and up again due to an inexistent bike trail. This was annoying although the hotel is not guilty. On the other hand the hotel is a nice place to rest. It is clean and have good prices.

Sloppy and anti-English LanguageBooked 7 days and LEFT after one full day! Lucky that my partner is native German because as an American Expat I could not have stayed even that long. The hotel has potential but has no one seemingly interested in making it "work." Themed rooms! ? Strange item taking up valuable space. Terrace, yes, but the chairs, on ours, and from what I could see, are simply there, ours a chair with a chaise covering. The room? I could not find a smoke alarm. The literature on the desk was obviously torn and not cared for. Not one item in the hotel information was in English. Had one included breakfast which was good. The lady caring for it was alert. There was a notice in the elevator in German only. I asked my partner what it said. If a hiker the warning was NOT to go into the wooded area because of ticks etc. So if a non-German language were to go hiking, whose fault would it be, legally. BUT the final straw, we had decided after the one full day to leave early. No one was available after an evening time. The bell to ring for assistance was gone. So, we called what the hotel lists as the emergency telephone number. It rang and rang and rang. Tried a few minutes later and it was still not hooked to anything. The WI FI was VERY undependable in the room. We had no access to the outside world via our smart phone. So waited at the desk area and when the lady who would be getting ready for breakfast was there, my partner explained the situation and she came to the desk and booted the computer and "created" a modified charge and indicated the owner "may" not raise it and possibly reduce it. OBVIOUSLY it was as the lady created. Cared little. We simply returned after a VERY bad experience. Actually the worst experience we have had traveling around the EU.
