No frills valueJust returned from a week at the Hotel Lina. They actually market themselves as a guest house more than a hotel and that's a more accurate description really. The rooms were a good size and clean and tidy. Furniture was a little sparse our room could have done with a chest of drawers not just a wardrobe but it wasn't the end of the world. Our bin was emptied daily and we did receive fresh towels midweek and a quick room clean. The rooms also had wifi with a good signal. There was only one other guest there so they weren't rushed off their feet but the owners were polite and helpful and although the husbands english was very limited the wife spoke it well. Breakfast was cereals, toast and then a plate of cheese, ham and eggs or cheese and ham on toast or eggy bread. Tea was herbal and there are no tea making facilities in the room so you may want to take a travel kettle if you miss your PG Tips! They helpfully moved breakfast forward an hour to allow us to get to the gondola before 8. Evening meal was a very large salad followed by a meat and rice or potato dish. If you are a picky eater this is something to bear in mind, there is no choice, although the food was always well cooked and tasty home style cooking you could feel awkward sending it all back. The hotel was however no more expensive than many self catering apartments so cost isn't a factor. There is a shuttle bus that will stop at the hotel around 8ish to take you to the gondola for 2 lev per person, but we wanted to make sure we were there early to get some empty slopes in before the crowds arrived (it was half term week in the UK, Romania Greece etc) so we got a taxi at 7.30 which was between 5 and 7 levs depending on the driver and took five minutes. Overall hotel Lina is modern value for money no frills accommodation. If you want luxury rooms, a la carte menus, saunas etc then it's probably not for you. If you are there to see the country or for skiing and want to keep costs down it is absolutely fine.

Excellent choiceStopped for a week and loved the place. Room was spotless and had fabulous views of the mountains. Breakfast was different every day and enjoyable. For a cheap hotel it was better than we expected. David T

Ski holidayThis small hotel was an ideal base for our 4 day skiing holiday , basic but very clean and a nice large warm bedroom with large balcony and wetroom . Food was basic but we didnt expect haute cuisine at these prices! Freshly cooked though. They arranged for a man to collect us everyday and he was on the dot everyday at 1 Lev per person for a ten minute journey straight to the gondola All in all a very inexpensive holiday

Ski holidayWe are very pleased with the choice we made- it was enough for our 5 day holiday in Bansko. Breakfast is ok (not wow!) but every morning you get a different one. All in all it was just what we needed. Towels were not changed everyday, only the garbage was taken on a daily basis. It is 15-20min by foot from the centre. You can also take the bus which goes to Banskos centre. The room is big (the view is not the best). The price we paid was what we got :)

Very nice!Quality/price very good. For a 3 stars it looks good, it is very clean, it has Big rooms, big beds, medium balcony. Breakfast was included(07:30-09:30). Breakfast was not haute quisine but it was fresh made(example- boiled egg, cheese, ham, butter, honey, olives, a big bottle of tea).Apart this there is also milk and 3 different types of cereals. If you are coming by car, you need to know that they dont have a private parking, you park on the street where they have cameras. If you are going for ski you need to know that the road to the gondola station it will take you 20 min on foot or 5-6 min by car(there is a parking at the gondola 12 leva/day from 7:30a.m. - 7p.m). If you want good conditions for a cheap price this the perfect choice.
