  Rough Start, But Good Ending

  This is our 3rd visit to SV in 5 years, but 1st time at the Limelight. We travelled with friends and stayed 7 nights. 2 flights to Boise and then driving to SV needless to say it is a long travel day as we arrived 4:30pm. I have to say it was a rough start checking in. There is no valet service or help getting luggage and skis from the car. Jacob at checkin I thought was not very helpful as I had to ask about everything including parking, ski locker access, Ski shuttle service, breakfast etc. He did not offered to explain anything about the hotel. Specifically when I asked about the Ski locker he said its around the corner....that really does not help me. We got settled in and were ready to ski the next morning. At Breakfast the next morning, I felt the staff was pretty unfriendly and just going through the motions of getting coffee and breakfast. I get these Covid times are tough and staff are probably being asked to do more than normal. But in the hospitality business you have to always have a smile and make folks feel welcome. I am happy to say that after a few days the staff did seem to be more friendly, specifically the Bar and Bar wait staff and the breakfast staff did seem to get friendly as the week went. I was always impressed with the Bar Staff as we did HH and appetizers most nights before going out to dinner Shuttle drivers were a mixed bag, most were great but the morning guy always seemed to be a bit grumpy. The rooms were very nice and clean. We had a room with a fireplace and 2 queens. Beds and pillows were very comfortable as well. Bathroom and amenities were excellent and housekeeping staff did a nice job. Also the pool is heated and has 2 hot tubs which were excellent and also clean! The hotel is close to all restaurants and shopping with is easy and great We skied 5 of 6 days and our off day we did use the free snow shoes and passes for snowshoeing in Galena. Which is always beautiful and a great way to spend a rest day from skiing. Sun Valley is an incredible place to ski and hang out. All in All we had a good visit and I did end up enjoying staying at the Limelight

  Everything you need

  Lovely modern hotel with amazing staff. We were pleased to discover how well appointed the rooms are. During covid times and mostly take-a-way dining, it was nice to have a full set of dishes, silverware and cups. The large table in the room was perfect for dining and work. Of course the outdoor pool and hot tubs are always a hit with the kids. Definitely our favorite place to stay in Sun Valley. I dislike the hidden fees that were tacked on: resort fee (really? Such a cheep sleazy trendy gimmick) parking (does my car, parked underground really cost you anything?) and the 11% tax (which I understand you have no control over). Okay rant over.

  Had to cancel stay, but best customer service ever!

  Due to unforeseen health circumstances of a relative we had to cancel our stay and the team there was professional, prompt and extremely accommodating. Especially Troy and his manager. Because of their great service we are even more determined to stay at this hotel when our situation allows.

  Amazing, as usual

  You can't go wrong with the Limelight. Amenities are great, and the hotel staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. And the pizza.... The prosciutto pizza is the best I've ever eaten. Love the musical entertainment as well.

  Top notch from start to finish!

  Hard to beat the Limelight when it comes to location, service, staff, and amenities. The big open lobby, bar, and restaurant/lounging area is perfect for this current COVID time, lot's of room to spread out. The shuttles were always there and ready for a ride to the lifts or across town for a massage at Zenergy. Dual hot tubs and pool looking up at Baldy were the perfect way to end the ski day. We also greatly appreciated the pet friendly environment with a public park right off the back of the hotel for the daily dog stroll. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you Limelight!
