  Our Favourite Accomodation in Australia

  We stayed for 2 nights at Lily Pily and wished we could have stayed for longer. Our hosts, Bruce and Jeanette were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. The property is in an outstanding location, high up in Bellingen, looking down on to the river. It is incredibly peaceful with only the sound of the wildlife to listen to. There are only three guest rooms at Lily Pily and when we stayed, we were the only guests. Each room has its own private entrance, verandah and bathroom, complete with spa bath. Breakfast in the morning is amazing. Fresh fruit to start, with cereals and juice, followed by a fantastic menu of hot food, including eggs cooked to your liking laid fresh by the resident chickens. There is a communal lounge area to use, with large comfy sofas, TV and sound system and also the chance to have afternoon tea or wine at wine o'clock! Overall, Lily Pily is a home away from home which we highly recommend and would love to return to. It really was the highlight of our tour of the East Coast.

  Fantastic

  Our 2nd stay in 11 months and whilst the weather was perhaps not as good as last time, the welcome, comfort and facilities were just as good. This is a must for a quiet off the beaten track couple of days although you would need to book early. Thank you Bruce & Jeanette for a wonderful two days.

  Outstanding!

  This has been a highlight of my ongoing visit to Australia. As there are so many good things to say I'll just summarise Peter and Jeanette are excellent, friendly hosts who have created a beautiful, serene and tasteful environment in which guests can relax. Rooms, service and food are top quality. I highly recommend Lily Pily.

  Can't fault it!

  We were the only people at Lily Pily Country House and so we felt like we had our own private property! Brian and Jeanette are wonderful hosts -- friendly and welcoming; attentive when needed and unobtrusive the rest of the time. They provided a gorgeous breakfast (better than many I've had at cafes), all the information we needed about eating out in Bellingen, taxis, local attractions, etc., as well as a first-rate B&B experience. All the little touches were there -- fresh flowers each day, luxurious body and spa items, high quality bedding and towels, daily newspapers, stacks of magazines, and a bottle of champagne and nibbles upon arrival. They even took us into town for dinner after the consumption of said champagne! (To catch a taxi home cost around $12.) The property is beautiful, with plenty of space to walk around and heaps of carefully thought-out seating for lazing about. You can even take a canoe out if you feel so inclined (we did, but didn't seem to get around to it, plus the river was a bit low at the time). Although we're locals (we live around 45 minutes away), Bellingen is a fantastic place to visit, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops, and plenty of outdoor activities within a fairly short drive. All in all, we had a wonderful anniversary weekend and can't fault any aspect of our stay.

  Simply amazing!

  We had the pleasure of staying for two nights at the beginning of March. Bruce and Jeanette could not have been more welcoming, with a drink and nibbles on arrival, and tips on where to eat and booked us a table at the local pub for dinner that night. The breakfast is fantastic plenty of fruit, and cereals and a wonderful cooked breakfast, the poached eggs are perfect! The accommodation is beautiful and spotlessly clean, the bed is very comfortable and the bedding is top class. We only wish that we could have stayed longer!
