Modern hotelWe stayed in this hotel one night and it was the second time. As usual the structure was very clean. The rooms have a very modern look and are extremely spacious. The hotel is attached to a sport centre so there's a big parking lot and a restaurant just in front of it. It's not close to the town centre and you definitely need a car to get around.

Nothing specialIt´s rather a simple hotel which only big advantage is that it has so great sport facilities all around, so if you come here for sport, it´s awesome. However the rest is not so extraordinary - my room was large, but with not a very comfy bed, everything was a bit cold, but I must say also very clean. The breakfast is average as well, the choice is rather limited (apart from the sweet), I would expect a bit more in a hotel of this level. The staff is kind, trying to do their job professionally. What is a bit problematic is to reach this hotel as there is no simple way. Even though it´s near to the motorway, the nearest entry/exit requires a long way, especially if you drive during rush hours.

Very good family holidayVery friendly and helpful staff. Our room was spacious and cleaned thoroughly every day. We had two children in a triple room and paid a 15/night supplement for the extra child. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. Many of the staff don't speak English, but don't let that put you off - they are always helpful and happy to fetch the receptionist to translate when needed. As per other reviews, the breakfast is basic. But it's enough. The breakfast room is clean, bright and airy. Croissants, toast, cereals, bread, cheese and plenty of coffee. A cafe is open on site throughout the day which serves alcohol. The restaurant on site is very good. We ate here several nights, but as there is a wide choice of food on the menu it's no problem. All reasonably priced. It can get busy, so although we were always accommodated, I would definitely recommend to book a table in advance. The sports facilities on site are excellent. The pool, gym and other classes are well used by many locals - all of whom we found friendly and welcoming. The pool is set out for lane swimming, but there are always lanes available for hotel guests even when swimming lessons etc are on. The gym is well appointed and the staff are helpful. The local train station is about 10 minutes drive away. Trains into Rome are cheap (3 each way) with trains every 15 minutes during the day that go through direct to Fumicino airport. Don't be put off by the photos of graffiti - we enjoyed the train journeys and felt safe. The multi-storey car park at the station is free but can get full quickly so leave plenty of time for parking. You could get by with the trains & taxis to the hotel, but we enjoyed the freedom of having a car. I drive frequently abroad, but found Rome one of the most challenging yet. Do give this some consideration and definitely make sure you are protected from any car hire insurance excesses. Monterotondo itself is a sprawling place, difficult to park and we struggled to locate any restaurants - though there are plenty on trip advisor so worth exploring. We enjoyed a few nice meals in Menatana including La Segreta in the castle.

Very niceHotel with a good standard and very acceptable pricing. Free sport activities and WiFi plus a good restaurant. Breakfast is a bit basic but OK. Very good price to performance ratio. Good for young people.

Basic hotel for 11 night Mentana visitWe chose this hotel because we have family in Mentana with no space for visitors. We were impressed by the spacious room given to us, less so by the lack of the basics we have come to expect from hotel accommodation - no shampoo, conditioner etc. The staff were all very helpful especially Ingrid, the hotel manager, who resolved the problems we had quickly and efficiently. The breakfast waitresses also were friendly and helpful, though non English speakers, if that is important. Breakfast itself was adequate, though at times pastry items didn't appear particularly fresh. The main disadvantage to this hotel was that there was no bar and the one opposite the hotel closed by 8pm most evenings so that if we got back to hotel after that time we were restricted to sitting in our room with only water to drink. Tea making facilities would have been appreciated, though we are aware that is rare in Italy. Not a hotel suitable for a long stay, especially in winter.
