  Aging hotel at a busy intersection. Traffic noise in the room day and night, the hotel and everything around it is covered in soot. Manager is dishonorable, I made an arrangement with him for a discounted rate for a longer stay, when it came time to pay his wife behind the cashier desk demand higher payment. A big hassle with the owner staying he would call the police and say I tried to steel things (like the room key) if I did not pay it. Made physical threats against me, a big stupid mess, felt like I was dealing with a child when dealing with the manager (his alcohol consumption likely a big part of the problem). Make sure you have the manager go run and ask his wife for approval of any arrangement you make with him, she told me he was not to be trusted.

  Under New Ownership From 1st September 2011

  I was very impressed when i stayed here, the hotel and the Lion Pub has had a major overhaul, to the last time i was there, my room in the hotel was very comfortable, which seem to have all new bedding, was very impressed with what i paid and what i got for my money. The owner Simon was more than helpful, and very friendly creating a great atmosphere in the bar. The bar has 12 plasma Tv's showing all kinds of sport from all over the world, the staff were super friendly which made it even more enjoyable. I have recommended this hotel to my friends, who equally have enjoyed there stay there.

  Comfortable and Economic

  I was very pleased with the accomdation here. It was recomended by a friednd who has stayed several times. The rooms where very clean, comfortable and a very good rate with all the necessary amenities - Ensuite, Large TV, Large Bed, Stocked fridge (unforunately not complimentary.. but very reasonble), air con, room safe, microwave and my room even had a full blown sauna in which was avaliable for use at an extra cost. Below the hotel is the lion pub. This is essentially a sports bar showing any sport you may desire. Which has great atmosphere, cold beer and quality food! Sample the Chiefs Pad Thai if you have a chance... "spot on" I would definitely recomend a stay here.

  lion bar and hotel

  i stayed here for 3 weeks and loved it i walked into room an wow massive rooms big tv, kitchen, very clean and tidy everything looked like new , outside traffic or bar noise was never a problem you couldnt hear it from room, the food was excellent had so many meals there think i tried the lot euro and thai food , the staff and managment were allways freindly and helpfull day and night a very good place to stay i go to pattaya 3 times a year and now i wont stay anywere else its so great there

  Older style accommodation with Aussie bar underneath

  Older style rooms that are comfortable, friendly staff and good food. shower a bit low on pressure a on the coolish side but it was not too bad, rooms, towels and breakfast not replaced every day. Probably a half hour walk to Walking Street on Pattaya beach - or can catch a motorbike taxi for about 40 - 50 baht (less than AUS$2)
