  Poor Service, Noisy and Dirty Surrounding

  The surrounding of the hotel is noisy and dirty with construction sites. There are always puddles of water outside the hotel entrance. There are also large trucks outside the hotel entrance. The construction goes on through the night, making it noisy and difficult to get a good night rest. The room has a smell although I was supposedly on a ladies' only floor. The air-conditioning is not stable; the room gets warm at times, even in the middle of the night. There was no Business Center in this hotel although the hotel website says it has. The reception told me to bring a USB drive to across the street to print my materials. Requested to extend check-out to 2pm. The reception agreed but the card access to the lift and the room was cut off at 12noon.

  Quite Impressed!

  I just got back today from Chengdu from being there on business. This is the hotel that I stayed in and I regret not one minute of it. I had a very fine experience and I honestly am having a difficult time trying to find something negative to say. It was that good. The staff (various lobby staff, receptionists, restaurant staff, and cleaners) were ALL top-notch and very helpful, kind, and courteous. They did things above and beyond what was even expected, and they did it with a smile. The staff was highly professional and should be commended. The location of this hotel is superb, it's nearly impossible to beat. It's right on Tianfu Square with loads of great shopping and restaurants. Public transport is all within 1-2 minutes walk, as well. The room was VERY nice, much nicer than ever expected. They had many very nice touches and paid close attention to detail. They even have a "Pillow Menu" with which you have a choice of 5 different pillows to choose from (see attached photos)...or all 5 if you like. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have encountered in China (I've been to several cities for several months here). The breakfast had many great Western choices, as well as Chinese choices too. The large breakfast room even had a massive video screen showing beautiful drone footage of China, synced with pleasant music. It was well done. The whole hotel was well done. I see other reviewers here have had a different experience than I, and that's unfortunate, but my experience was remarkable and when I return to Chengdu again, there is no doubt that I will choose to stay at this hotel again, and I will do it without the slightest hesitation. I left VERY impressed.

  Too much smoke and no air conditioner

  My husband asked for a smoke free room but every night the smell of smoke would come into the room. They said they would de-smoke the room but that didn't happen. I think there was someone smoking in the room next to us. Also, the air conditioner wouldnt come on and the window would only open maybe six inches. If we tried to leave the curtain open, there were lights outside flashing on our room. They need to put all the smokers on one floor and leave at least one floor for non smokers. We won't come back.... The staff was very friendly but couldn't do much for our issues.

  Oh my Gosh thius is wonderful!

  We stayed here last night and will stay again tonight. From the moment we arrived with a great check in experience and a fabulous room. Spotless, really modern and stylish and sooooo comfortable. We had many questions about everything for the front desk and the ladies would spend time with us to help. Plus the hotel is in the middle of the city and convenient to everything. My wife wants to rebuild their bathroom at our house. It takes a little learning to do some things... like we thought the bathroom had no door til my wife found the sliding panels, and we did figure out the AC and shower. Don't be fooled by the entrance street. this is a great hotel !! Go there!

  Lovely Hotel

  I stayed at this hotel in Chengdu and I must say that the location is excellent. The hotel is very large and I stayed on the 20th floor. My breakfast was included and the buffets were extensive. There was something for every taste! The hotel is close to a huge shopping complex that has hundreds of smaller shops on 11 floors. I was able to purchase an additional suitcase for a very cheap price. There were lots of bargains to be had. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They helped me arrange a private tour to the panda centres outside of Chengdu. The only negative was the construction noise durng the day.
