  es un hotel bien ubicado, cercano a las oficinas de google y a menos de 20 minutos de los lugares de atraccion. el hotel es muy sucio y las habitaciones son antiguas y con serios problemas de limpieza en los baños y en los pisos. el desayuno .."imposible"

  Fantastic location

  I spent 4 nights at the Yitel on Nanging Road in downtown Shanghai. Fantastic location just a few feet away from the pedestrian walking street and a couple blocks from the Bund, Peoples Park, and other sightseeing places. Lots of restaurants and night life if desired. The hotel has an unassuming sign and entrance from the street. Once you go up the elevator, there is a lovely lobby. The rooms are very modern with a everything a traveler would need. Breakfast was good, with fried eggs and fruit and plenty of Chinese dishes. The odd parts are the twists and turns in the hallways with steps up and down, the window with no view, and the street noise. Rate was good for the location and breakfast was included. I would stay there again if I am anywhere close.

  Excellent location and Comfort stay

  We staying yitel for 3 days 2 night with extra add-on late check out till 6pm instead 12pm and upgrade bigger room. Room is spacious, clean and comfort too..but just the bathroom abit tiny but still consider acceptable. Hotel provided the soft pillow which not suitable but once we request from the front desk, they offering us 5 of type pillow which suitable us Location...easy access to nanjing road and just less than 5 mins walking distance to MRT station, less than a minute to convience shop n etc ..everything is just during walking distance. Con : Lift is only limited 1 and space is small, as the lobby located at upper 4th floor. Overall is satisfied.

  Dont stay here. Stay at a Western Hotel - they overcharged me and then charged me a second time!

  I checked into the Yitel Shanghai Nanjing East Road Peoples Square on 11/30/19 and had a confirmation from Trip.com for a total cost for seven days of 3968 RMB, which equates to $566.85 USD at an exchange rage of 7 RM to $1 US. After running my credit card multiple times and talking to other employees, the gal claimed they had exceeded their credit card machine usage for the day and I needed to pay (after negotiation) one night at 550 RMB in cash (or $80.86 US), which I did. I came back the next day to pay the balance of 3418 RMB via credit card and requested they charge me RMB! After i returned on 12/7/19, I found that they charged me $595.28 instead of $488.28 on 12/1/19, then charged me another $512.74 on 12/2/19. These people are theives, deceptive and their hotel rooms are filthy. The only thing good about this place is the location. Westerners, don't stay here!

  undergoing renovations october 2019

  My wife and I stayed here with another couple in october 2019. Due to renovations the restaurant was not available. We found the room to be comfortable and cleaned. Staff were not able to communicate in english so my wife spoke chinese with them. I found them to try to be helpful bur a bit disorganized. I was not able to communicate with them using a translator app on the smartphone. If english communication is important to you then please discount my rating accordingly. There are many nearby restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner, we used several of them without complaint. I'm not sure I trust the neighborhood after dark and do not recommend it for families or individual travelers for that reason. I was approached by a woman apparently soliciting for prostitution in the early evening one night, but saw no other potential threats during my stay.
