Nice design, very poor service, stay elsewhereNice rooms with very cool design, I would say the good experience ends there. The hotel is severely understaffed, getting phone calls answered before our stay to confirm the reservation required a call to AMEX so they could get through. A call to the GM of the hotel, Peter, was never returned or acknowledged which is almost unheard of. Room service required multiple phone calls, food arrived incomplete, and by the time everything was complete it was cold. Not to mention priced at a premium for the mediocre food. After checking out, the hotel incorrectly credited the AMEX FHR amenities and it has so far required 3 phone calls and two emails and it is still not resolved. It should be noted the hotel has argued with me every step of the way and it will ultimately, again, require the intervention of AMEX. At $200 a night, this might be OK, at $390 for the second lowest room, with a $44 per night resort charge, and a $30 valet fee, and additional taxes and fees, for a small room that was approx 300 square feet, it is absolutely unacceptable. Lots of better choices in the area that understand luxury service. The bartender Robert and the front desk associate Chris were both helpful, the rest of the staff isn't worth mentioning.

Covid escape with our dogsIt was cloudy at the beach so we thought we'd chase the sun to PS. Made reservations at 10am & arrived at 12:30pm. They had a nice secluded room ready for us - big plus! Why would somebody pay extra to at the pool, no privacy & noisy I'd think. Only the pool restaurant & bar was open, fine we us. Poolside cocktails were excellent, no need to leave the property. Bring your dog & if you don't like dogs PLEASE don't stay here b/c that we all LOVED our BFFs. My biggest complaint was no covered parking (valet only) so our car was HOT whenever we needed. We've already booked our next escape, we'll be cancelling if it's sunny at the beach

Hardly a RespiteHotels should act as a respite when traveling. A welcoming place to return to after all that DRIVING. This Hotel ultimately did not satisfy. One is essentially in a fish-bowl. The rooms (and bathrooms) are small. (a chair placed in a corner does not a "seating area" make. The "private patio" is indeed public- WAAAAY overpriced-and is not-by any means, a Five Star Hotel! I booked for 6 nights and got myself the heck outta there after day 3 and checked into a MOTEL 6! I complained about music being played outside by the pool at about 9:45 PM (not loud, but oh that base!) and was told: "I was not aware that the music was still on" ...five-star attention to detail? I think not. Also, very annoying pet people-difficult to find an empty chair by the pool without some labradoodle tethered nearby taking up valuable real estate. The VALET only was also a nuisance.

Paid for Rolls Royce and got a JeepOn our way to this hotel my husband called the hotel to let them know we would be arriving in 45 minutes (they called him earlier asking). At the same time, he requested a bottle of champagne to be ready in the room. The darling front desk guy passed us to Wendy at the bar who was happy to help. We arrived and were greeted by a different front desk man who slowly checked us in, taking long calls from others, and seemed to work in slow motion. He also insisted we leave our car key with him which was a problem since we use a phone app instead of a key. Anyway, this guy finally took us to our room (he even walked in halftime) which he opened and we walked into complete blackness. He asked me where to put the luggage but I couldnt see a thing. Drapes were fully shut and literally it was like a cave. We finally got a small yellow light on and saw no champagne in the room. After a phone call Wendy delivered it acting like we should be so happy to have it. Looking out of our room (Premier poolside cabana #6) we are maybe 40 feet from the bar that had 2 bartenders and no patrons. Couldnt figure out how that champagne wasnt delivered before we arrived...Anyway, once we were able to get a few more lights on (still super dark) we got ready for dinner at a Mexican place recommended by the hotel. They didnt offer to make a reservation for us which was a bummer because when we arrived it was a 40 min wait but everyone else seemed to have a reservation. Back at the hotel, we got in the bed which was very soft and realized the sheets were not tucked in at the base. So all night the sheets kept wrapping up and tangling. In the morning we looked out of our shower and saw leaves and debris in our tiny outdoor area. Honestly, how does the hotel charge $1000 a night and have this? See photo. Ive read other reviews about the fishbowl feeling and they are not off. When you open the shades the world sees you standing there in your underwear or lying in bed. The hotel touted this as a premier view room but we were laughing that the premier view was into the room, not out of it! You really cannot have the drapes open without feeling vulnerable. At 7am I called for room service coffee and they said it didnt open until 8. My husband had had enough and called American Express to cancel the next 2 nights. By the way how is this hotel on the Fine Hotels and Resorts website?? Amex had to call the hotel to cancel and when they came back on the line they said the GM at the hotel doesnt get in until 10 or so and they would have to call back. Lol no one works here. Im now at the pool waiting for the call and trying to book a room elsewhere. I tried to open the umbrella (no one to help) and someone yelled at me from across the pool that its broken. Also if you like smoking the fire pit right outside of our room seems to be a nice place to meet other smokers. If you hate smoke you probably want a different room. The one star I give this place is it is lovely out at the pool. The sun is so nice and the iconic architecture is fun to see. I think the problem is this place is overpriced. If we were not paying so much we wouldnt expect so much. At $300 a night we would be enjoying it. Maybe even up to $500. After that it feels like we bought a Rolls Royce and got a Jeep. A Jeep is a nice car but not worth the price we paid...
