  Great place to stay -- and a wonderful breakfast!

  We stayed at the Lew Barn on our way to pick up our daughter from a riding holiday, and it really is a great place to stay. We had the two-room suite, which is comfy, great beds, nice large shower, and very clean indeed. Pete and Carole are both incredibly friendly and made us feel very much at home. The best thing, however, was the cooked breakfast, which has won awards for the past ten years or so. Absolutely superb, from the very thick 'proper' bacon to the great sausages, perfectly scrambled eggs, etc. Continental options are available, but you really should treat yourself to the cooked breakfast. You won't regret it. It seems that the owners are thinking of retiring from the business, which will be a shame. If you haven't stayed here before, then you really should do so whilst there's still chance -- it's a great B&B.

  Excellent all round

  We stayed here for 2 nights with our dog. They were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely with lots of nice touches. The breakfast was fantastic, it's enormous! They have a day kennel where we left our dog while we went out for the day. I can't recommend this place highly enough. There's not much around in the way of restaurants so just be aware of that.

  Dog friendly BnB & Cottage.

  I cannot recommend this place enough, it is a fantastic place to stay, dog friendly, a choice of bnb in the farmhouse, or a self contained cottage. The breakfast is a feast, locally sourced and over generous, it really is outstanding. .

  Fantastic stay

  We stayed at brook cottage at Lewbarn, and had an awesome time. Pete and Carol are fantastic hosts. The cottage is very well equipped clean tidy and very comfortable. The welcome pack was awesome. The grounds are amazing. A very restful break.

  Home from Home

  Above excellent, Pete and Carol the perfect hosts,on arriveing the kettle went on, sat round the dining table like old friends, we had driven down from Yorkshire for two nights for a family christening on the Saturday, even after driving for hours we went to the local pub, what a great night, had a meal and chatted with the locals. Lew Barn is a perfect setting and great for seeing the coast, if you are booked for b&b Pete's breakfast is fantastic, keeps you going nearly all day.
