Perfect in Every WayMy wife and I stayed here a second time in January for a week of cross country skiing. The location of the hotel is superb for both skiers and walkers, just a few steps from the paths and a short walk to the shops and stores in Weidach. Our room was a spacious double with a balcony, couch, work desk, flat screen TV with multiple English channels, very fast Wi-Fi, large closets, and a very comfortable bed. It was on the wing closest to the lobby, but was exceptionally quiet. We were on half-board and the meals were wonderful. Besides the extensive breakfast buffet, there are wonderful afternoon pastries, and five-course dinners. Each dinner has four choices for the entree and at least two for the appetizer. The meals are exceptionally well prepared, creative and tasty. The service is top flight, even with a completely full dining room. Our waiters, Thomas and Thomas, were great. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. They arranged a rental car for us and gave us good tips regarding downhill ski areas. We could not have been more pleased with the hotel and location.

A Great hotelMy wife and I have just moved on after a weeks stay at this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff were very friendly and professional and the family (owners) were always about and take a very active part in the day to day running of the Hotel. During our stay there were no other English guests but most of the staff speak some English. It is a small village but nice to walk off the excellent evening meals. There is a beautiful lake just a short stroll from the hotel which you can walk round and even do some fishing at as it is fed by a trout farm. Obviously it is a great area to do some hiking from which we did.

Wouldn't say luxurious, but very nice and Wonderful foodCan't say enough about the wonderful food. My husband and I had vegetarian food, and our son went with the trout. All of us thought is was great tasting. We were the only english speaking guests and the staff did a great job communicating. This area is very beautiful and not super busy on a Monday in June, which is likely not very helpful. This facility has mountain bikes if you prefer biking to hiking.

Breathtaking viewI stayed in the apartments which are 5 m from the hotel. They are small but fully equipped and cozy. I had one with a view towards the mountains and it's just amazing waking up to this every morning. The hosts are nice and helpful. You can rent bikes from the reception. They also offer different type of organized trips if you want or they can just offer tips for hiking or biking nearby. The hotel also has a great bio restaurant and breakfast if required.

Excellent hotelThe room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The food was very good, with good provision for a range of dietary needs. The daily programme offered of walks, snow shoe walks or cross country skiing refresher was an added option. Cross country ski routes and cleared winter paths can all be accessed from the hotel, and free use of cross country runs and local buses was included. The hotel is serious about its environmental impact and as well as all food being organic most was locally sourced and their carbon footprint is very low.
