  Great Value for Money

  We stayed here for two weeks at the end of August- beginning of September. The chalets are similar to the photos, a pleasant distance apart. When we arrived on the last full weekend of the French holidays we had to wait a little time to get our keys etc. However registration was very effective, there were just a lot of people. The staff remained friendly all the same. The chalets are well laid out with the main bedroom separated from the children's room by the lving room which opens out onto the patio. The kitchen is rather small, but has just about everything you need to cook (which is good considering the restaurants in Maubuisson), We missed coat hangers and towel rails etc. The whole complex is set pleasantly in woods about 1,5 km from the centre of Maubuisson.

  Require a change of mindset

  The site of the village is nice so is the pool area, but the village setting is dated and, despite a recent refurbishment, is not stepping in the 21st century. It could have been a nice eco friendly refurbishment in the forest but you get concrete paths, public lights everywhere and worst of all a very bright white hospital-like light outside the villas. This is not only bothering all in the surroundings but also disturb animals night life. Strange for a village in the middle of nature. Last but not least, one may wonder why reception is located in a residential area with no park space while there is a large car park by the pool area. At arrivals on Saturday, guests queue on the side of the road with lots of car coming and go. A big mess and not a nice first impression.
