  Hard to find if you are English speaking

  We almost gave up trying to find this hotel as the sign for it is totally in Chinese! Why have a website advertising "Les Hotel" when you don't include that name on your street sign? Other than that, the room was comfortable and clean, the restaurant quite good. This is in a very hectic part of town. We attempted to walk a few blocks from the hotel and quickly gave up -- no sidewalks, motor scooters running amok everywhere among the cars. Very scary.

  Rare find in the location

  Our family spent 2 nights there for vacation/visiting friends. I was told that it is hard to find a hotel that has a swimming pool in Tainan. Indeed the pool was good. My kids had fun. Another nice feature is that breakfast is included in the rate. The breakfast was buffet style and it included a large variety of Chinese and western style items. The room was spacious. I was told when checking-in that the hotel upgraded our room. That might be the reason for the size. The bathroom has separate shower area and a Jacuzzi tub. I tried both and it was nice. The location of the hotel is on the outskirt of the city. Travel to the city center is somewhat inconvenient b/c I could not find any public bus to take us there. But if you ask the front desk for help taxi can be dispatched within minutes. I spent about US $ 3 for a one-way trip.

  Huge room

  Love the huge space in the family room which is facing the pool. But it can be alittle noise when there are kids in the pool. This is not within the city and the location is only accessible with car. Its about 10-1 min walk away from food streets. Just outside the hotel driveway, there is a very Zen looking massage place facing the main road. It is very good n clean as its new. 90min costs NT999

  Hidden gem and quite charming

  Stayed one night in December (27th) as a stopover on a 3-day tour with family. We arrived in the evening and as I watched the route our driver had driven to the hotel, I could see how other reviewers had difficulty finding the place; it's sort of hidden. It wasn't until the next morning that I could better appreciate the charm of the hotel; more on that later. The room decor is a bit dated although spacious. It has a fridge and a coffee maker. The bathroom has a separate shower and a jetted bath tub with a TV mounted inside a wall. I tried the jetted tub and TV and they worked! The breakfast is buffet style offering eastern and western options and it certainly didn't disappoint! Ms. Wang took the time to speak with guests which in the case of my party, with my father. Daylight is when you can truly appreciate the charm of the hotel. My room had the view of the outdoor pool area and it was lovely. At check out, I walked around the front exterior and noticed the statues and landscapes. It does give the hotel a French flair; matching the name of the hotel "Les Hotel". Overall, I found the hotel to be quite charming. In a way, it's like a mini resort. The staff was wonderful through and through. A few of them came out to wish us well as we departed. Thank you Les Hotel Tainan for a quick overnight stay.

  Nice well maintained hotel with great service

  We stayed in the spacious Japanese room, the rooms are well maintained, has excellent fittings and the service is great, including the breakfast serving at the restaurant. Parking is readily available too. The only downside is the location, although not too far if youre driving, the diners and shops are quite a distance from the hotel.
