Spacious hotel compound with restaurant and bar

This hotel compound features about 40 rooms, a restaurant/bar (during my visit frequented by rather well-heeled local clientele, I'd say) and a nightclub (open Fri, Sat und Sun). My room seemed newly refurbished, and was spotlessly clean and very spacious. Electricity and water were available at all times. Free WiFi worked in central areas. The compound seemed to be well secured and guarded. Be aware though that the location is on the outskirts of the city (west of the university) and you need a car to get anywhere else. The management went great lengths in helping me getting a SIM card and in organizing my onward travel.

    Unbelievable, in the wrong waysssss

Never base your choices on one (only one available) previous review. While some of the staff and indeed manager and I believe either owner or "big boss" went out of their way to make my stay amenable, this is DEFINITELY NOT a place for business travellers, or families, or anyone else that is not looking to have "a good time". Sunday nights (I was there) and Fridays (not) there is very good live music. However the place on Sunday early evening, already well guarded by the military, suddenly becomes very well guarded and lots and lots of guests start arriving (easily 100 to 150) for lots and lots of drinks (muslim country at approx 80%+ of the population) might I remind us... These men, and lots and lots of women are there to have a "good time". This is simply nothing short of a brothel. Rooms have only a mattress cover, one towel, soap and no toilet paper. I mentioned this and was immediately provided with some, but I am short on words to describe the experience. Oh, only one room (mine after I changed) has hot water... I had reserved for one week, and spent one very long night as the music went on until the wee hours of the morning (good music though)...

a budget option when traveling to Niamey

i frequently visit Niamey for work and most of the times found the big hotels booked to its capacity, someone suggested me to try this option out and i booked a room here, good rooms, and very close to my work rleated purpose so was a better choice than some of the hotels which are on the jam packed roads of Niamey. Looking forward for more trips

The newer Aliya hotel about 200 metres ....

further up the road is owned by the same people and is great , clean and affordable. I have stayed already for a few weeks. Pluses. Safe, New , Clean,Very Roomy. Good internet most of the time. Meeting Rooms. Minuses. Food so so. Nowhere to walk to for sundry purchases. No pool, no gym.Not so good English :-) I recommend based on value.
