    Lovely hotel, fantastic staff

My aunty and I visited Hotel Les Campanules this December. Our flight was delayed by two hours so we didn't get to the hotel until past 11pm. I emailed the hotel asking what to do as their front desk closed at 11pm and was quickly informed that someone would wait until 12am for us. The hotel staff were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are comfortable and roomy - though a kettle would be a helpful thing to have in the rooms. The location of the hotel is great, really close to the lifts. The 30 or so steps to the ski room have been mentioned in previous reviews but to be honest, the stairs are really close to the ski lifts and manageable, especially if you just take it slow. The ski lockers are great, really spacious and have hooks for ski boots. Our 2 ski sets fit comfortably in the locker. The food was incredible - there is a fantastic breakfast spread and dinner each day was amazing. Again, the service staff were really great. My aunty and I don't eat meat or alcohol and the staff were very accommodating to that. The two options for dinner were often meat or fish so the hotel may benefit from offering a meat/fish dish and a veggie dish to cater for a wider range of diets. Overall, fantastic hotel, 10/10 would recommend

    Great

Our third time at this hotel in the last 10 years. Blew us away the first time and the third time was met with just as much excitement. Rooms - (only ever stayed in the basic rooms) exactly what they need to be - warm (almost too warm), comfortable, large beds, clean. Not fancy - nor do they need to be considering the amount of time you spend there. Bathrooms - small but nice, and perfectly functional. Food - gorgeous. 4 courses every night. Wait staff are lovely and very helpful. Considering this is an alpine restaurant we're surprised by the amount of fish on the menu. Friday's is seafood night which is a little overwhelming. We're not fussy eaters at all - but the starter was a seafood buffet which was almost all shellfish and crustaceans. Main was also shellfish. Difficult with a shellfish/crustacean intolerance! With hindsight we could have asked ahead what was on the menu but a forewarning as to the amount of shellfish/cruscaceans and lack of fish-fish would have been nice, or just generally as to the extent of the seafood. We were thrust on the most awful small table, high chairs and in a pokey little corner. They kept us on the same table the whole week (no doubt entertaining the guests in the fancier rooms on the fancier tables). Rotating the tables would have been far more satisfactory. We made it clear to the waiter we thought the table was woeful and in the end made a joke of the fact we were being tucked away. Bar area - gorgeous and comfortable. Bar - seriously overpriced (even considering London prices!) Spa - small but perfectly formed. Jacuzzi for 2 people - 4 if you're particularly friendly. Steam room and Sauna are also lovely. Outdoor swimming pool is just heavenly! Boot room - perfect with boot warmers and lockable lockers. Distance to slopes - Down some steps to the ski shop (40m) (where we kept skiis and also offer discount for hotel patrons), and another 30m to the slopes. 70m to the nearest lift. Takes minutes. Overall a gorgeous hotel with nice staff. Will absolutely be returning. Occasionally erring into pretentious but we're laid back enough to laugh it off and overcome that! Staff most definitely entertain certain guests more attentively and although the food is amazing - the menu can be a little restrictive. Would recommend this for people wanting a high-end ski-holiday. Lovely for a romantic couples get-away.

Warm, friendly staff and wonderful meals

This is a very friendly hotel and the decor is modern but still alpine. Everything is spotless and the staff very attentive. Nothing is a trouble and everything works like clockwork. Loved the spa:outdoor heated pool; steam room; sauna and hot tub after a day's ski. Treatments are available too. The meals are superb. A comprehensive layout for hot or cold choices. Dinners are 4 courses and so tasty and beautifully presented. The cheese buffet is extraordinary as was the Asian buffet night. This is our 2nd visit and we recommend it highly

    Good Hotel in Tignes

Hotel is nice, clean and very friendly. Staff are helpful and attentive. We were definitely the youngest in the hotel and were in our early 30s! Hotel has a nice pool and spa to relax after a long day on the slopes. About 100 - 150 meters away from 3 lifts. Evening food is great, can be quite rich but hey youre in France! Hotel bar is expensive though so be warned. Room was small but well kept. All in all a nice hotel if youre a little older and want a friendly hotel to enjoy a week in Tignes. Thanks!

Super food, great staff, close to lifts.

This was our first time in Tignes, we chose this hotel as it was ski in and ski out. however there are about 30 steps down to the piste area and these are difficult in ski boots and carrying skis so we hired a locker in Mountain Story for 30 for a two person locker and kept our boots and skis there. The hotel is great, the food is excellent, the cheese buffet was a wonder to behold. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The wine is expensive but good and they will keep a half finished bottle until your next meal. We had a superior room with views over the piste, it is worth it. We used the spa facilities every day after skiing, the jacuzzi, outdoor pool , sauna and steam really helped with after ski relaxation. Free buses run to other parts of the ski area but we did not use them as we found it possible to get around using the lift system. Signage was good on piste. Early morning , about 7.15am, avalanche clearing explosions were a good alarm clock!
