Just off the main city centre but great for a quiet stay. Not as close to the beach as it looks on a map but a lovely hotel. Everything worked as it should with a very comfortable bed. I found the centre of the city was only c.15min walk so no need for a taxi if you're fit and mobile. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Odessa.

Less than it needs to beI stayed only 1 night at the Lermontovskyi and probably would not have stayed longer if my time in Odessa had been extended. There is nothing hugely wrong with the hotel but on balance there have to be better places. Firstly, the hotel is situated a long way from the downtown pedestrian precinct. I walk fast but it still took more than 30 minutes to get there. It is well placed for the beach if that is a preference, it just wasn't mine. There is no lift so I had to drag my bag up to the 2nd floor. It could have been worse because there was at least another higher floor. The room was possibly one of the better in the hotel but still not really good. It had separate bed and sitting rooms. The bedroom was very, very small - just big enough to accommodate a double bed (not queen) with it jammed up against the wall on one side and so little room on the other that I had to turn sideways to edge up to the top. The bed was very hard which may suit others but doesn't work for me. The sitting room had a nice big couch and coffee table plus a small "dining" height table with 2 chairs. There was a kettle and minibar fridge. Both rooms had heavy curtains and were quite dark even when the curtains were open. The bathroom was small but functional with a shower over the tub but the hot water wasn't hot enough - not cold but not piping hot either. Breakfast was taken in a dark, windowless basement room. It could be best described as sparse with few choices and not much of the dishes there were there. The wifi was touchy in my room working sometimes but dropping out at others with the signal strength not apparently related to peak use times. It always worked well in the lobby which had a little corner alcove with a table that was perfect for working. Having a late train to catch I requested a late check out but the price quoted was outrageous for a hotel of that quality so I did without. Overall the hotel is acceptable for a short stay but anyone wanting proximity to the downtown area should look elsewhere.

Comfortable and quiteI stayed in the hotel in the middle of July 2019. I can describe it like very comfortable and chamber. The hotel is located in quite place, away from one of the main streets in Odessa and at the same time in the center of the city. It is several minutes by foot from pedestrian boulevard the greenest street in the city and also from one of the most beautiful beaches in Odessa called Langeron. Hotel service is excellent. Everything that I needed was in the room. Have no claim on room cleaning service as well. Thank you very much for the excellent comfortable rest!

BadI'm reading reviews and wonder if people confused this place for something else. We are not picky and never wrote anything negative. But this one! There is nothing romantic or even cute in this one. Everything is very basic and simple including service. The key to the door in our room looked like from 19th century and there is only ONE! THE DOOR LOCKS WITH SAME KEY INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. Think about this for a sec. My husband takes a walk at 5am, he has to lock me in, or wake me up to let him back in. What if.....there is a fire, which I'm sure hotel is not up to the code obviously. And no landline phone in the room. The wake up call was a knock on the door. Laundry service charges like $3-4 per item! I never payed it in USA. The price of the hotel is compatible to the one we stayed in Vienna and Budapest. Beds are terrible, breakfast is not free, only one little mirror in the bathroom, list goes in. Oh, and no elevator. Brace yourself The only thing, its on a quiet street and the sea is near, the beaches are not crowded.

In a good locationWe stayed at this hotel abs part of a group tour. Tiny room with no luggage storage. Efficient aircon and refrigerator. Double bed, tiny bathroom and shower but the shower was excellent. Excellet room lighting, reception staff were a bit grumpy and we were given a big welcome drink. Plenty of restaurants, supermarket and money changers nearby.
