  Lovely Second Time Around

  This was my second visit to this hotel overlooking the sea. The family are welcoming, the location is wonderful and what's not to love about falling asleep to the sounds of the waves lapping below? Third time's the charm, and my husband is looking forward to his visit next year.

  Hotel Leopold

  Very Nice place and very nice people family runs this place. Excellent rooms and the breakfast with (due Coca-Cola) cappuccini from Leo is amazing every morning. The hotel is close to the main city and to the train station as well. We had excellent time there and we want to come back again sometime.

  Great view and location but outdated

  Hotel has very nice sea view in the selected rooms, some even with a private sunbathing balcony. The pool side is nicely divided to three levels, however there is no lavatory in that area. Furniture is outdated and most of the rooms dont have AC nor fridge. Breakfast was a bit untidy, glassware was old and there were ants and flies in the food. Owners did a lot by themselves trying their best but there was obviously a lot to do. Great view with a pleasant sound of the waves. There is a short but rocky shortcut to the village city, 10min walk, not suitable for people with walking disabilities or small children. Most expensive stay in our trip but wasnt the best value for the money.

  Lovely escape

  Perched up the hill and away from the bustle of the beach... this hotel is really lovely. 5mins walk from the beach or 10mins to the main shops/restaurants. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal. Theres a beautiful pool overlooking the ocean. Our room had a gorgeous view. Clean amenities and helpful staff. Its not cheap, but nothing is on the coast of Italy in summer. Id stay here again!

  We visited Moneglia to walk in the Cinque Terre National Park .

  We loved the hotel. It was just so relaxing, our bedroom had double patio doors which looked out onto the beautiful bay and was very comfortable and clean. We loved the outside space, there were 3 terraces which overlook the bay, on the first level there is the beautiful swimming pool and above that two well equipped sun teraaces. For visiting the Cinque Terre region the hotel is ideally situated and connected by the train station which we could walk to in less than 10 minutes. We visited beautiful Portifino via train and ferry which was really easy to do . There are also some beautiful coastal walks which are north of Moneglia for example we caught the train to Riva Trigoso which took 5 minutes and then took a breathtaking walk back to moneglia which took about 3 hours. So hotel well located. The breakfasts were very well organised and the fresh fruit and croissants were delicious, there is a very good choice. Also you could book in for an evening meal on the day and we ate there 6 out of 10 nights as the food was so good and reasonably priced. The hotel is run by a lovely family who looked after us really well and we had a great time. Thank You.
