Horrendous experience, AVOID unless you want a 2.5* hotel experience paying for a 5* hotelAbsolutely horrendous stay at Leopard point, outlined below are some of the issues: Villa: -Advertised as ''seaview'' where as in truth only 1 villa has a meagre view of the sea, do not book this resort thinking you will be able to see the sea from your villa. -Had to relocate villas 2 days into our stay because of an ant infestation of one of the villas -Showers and flushes were hit or miss and would only worked intermittently Food: -The worst part of our stay. Food was absolitely horrendous, badly cooked and they were out of atleast 25% of menu ingredients such as pasta, fruits. The kitchen would replace menu items without asking me such as substituting potatoes for the pasta in a fetuccini, cornflakes for museli in breakfast etc. -Half way through our stay the menu was changed removing the ability for guests to choose meals, instead having to choose from set menus. None of these set menus were conducive to vegeterians whatsoever leaving us no options. -(Picture attached) We were swarmed by flies during each breakfast and lunch meal by the beach. They refused to give us more than 1 candle per table and were subsequently unwilling to help us tackle the flies. We resorted to smearing jam on 2 plates and placing them on the table for the flies to attack while we finished our meals, hardly luxurious. -Also attached is a picture of their ''full english breakfast'' Service: -Water- For certain meals we were charged for water which the staff were refilling from water dispensers whereas these refils would be free in the room. Of note we would have to take the bottles to the bar every time we would like water replenished in the room. Pros: -Local staff were incredibly helpful in the face of these issues and would go out of their way to combat the handcuffs in service obligations placed on them by the owners.

Definitely not a Five Star as advertised in Booking.com Booking from 1-5 January 2015I had booked and paid for two rooms from 1-5 January 2020 (4 nights) but ended staying for two nights and had to transfer and pay another hotel as my family would not stand to stay in the hotel for another day. They had opted to go back home. 1. The hotel is definitely not a five-star hotel would not even give it a three-star. 2. Beach -Despite assurance over the phone and the information on the website that the hotel has the best beach, it definitely has no access as it only has coverage of about 20 meters which is rocky, windy, and dirty. The option given was a transfer to a nearby beach for KES 7,500.00 one way which I found exorbitant. 3. Food-First, the food served, which is extremely overpriced, is not as healthy as portrayed on the website. Additionally, I highly doubt the meals were prepared by a professional chef. To start with, both meals we ordered were local dishes and the rice was half-cooked. Second, the vegetables were overcooked and were literarily boiled in oil. Thirdly, the chicken was dry, oily and no sauce to go with it. On the first night at the hotel, we had to wait for two hours in a windy place before dinner was served (we requested to sit near the swimming area since all of us were sneezing, coughing and itching because of the insects). For breakfast, one has to contend dinning in the midst of a swarm of house flies (on day two we asked for candles to fight the flies). The breakfast served is also monotonous and equivalent to that served in inns and budget hotels, not a five star resort. The fruits selection is very limited and among the options given, only the bananas were edible since the mangos and pineapples were very sour. Also, it does not make any sense how a whole five-star hotel did not have bacon, yet the item was in the menu. 4. Toiletries- the hotel only provides shampoo and bathing gel white linen/towels most were brown. 5. The hotel should consider selling water from established water packaging companies. I think the water is packaged internally, looked at the cap of one of hotel branded water bottle and it was disgusting. The manager, Nancy had reached out and offered to give a voucher for one room for two nights which was transferable, but I informed her my family was not interested and I would not recommend the hotel to any of my friends. One more point the hotel is not family-friendly.

SuperThe stay was awesome right from the beginning to the end. If you want a romantic getaway this is the place for you and your significant other. We stayed with my better half at the hotel and we realy loved the serene. It was unfortunate we had some little issues with the insects but the place is full of nature hence understandable,we were upgraded and we truly thank the hotel manager who is superfriendly and went beyond to ensure we were comfortable she is the best! Only thing the hotel is away from town and there are no uber services, hence do your groceries in town before going to the hotel.Anyway Thank you Leopard Point for making me and my partner have the very best out of our holiday in Kenya.

A must visit GemThis place is a true depiction of what resilience is. And what determination to keep a place running but also to provide employment to the local community. Their resolve in keeping this place meticulously going is amazing during this COVID 19 pandemic. Well done for keeping Kenya magical. Right from the airport pick up and warm check in, is what kick started my vacation with a bounce in my step. The room with an awesome view has been amazing and reminds me that there is a God who exists. A private pool for the villa and a short walk to the beach. Thank you Leopard Point Beach staff .....the owner Antonio (you owe me A good champagne), Nico (you are a very warm person keep pouring out your energy to this place), Kennedy, Hamisi, Mohammed, Grace, Zippy, Hellen, Sandra, Yvonne, Esther and none other but Safari the Chef. Mubarikiwe hadi mshangae. Please try the spa you will not be disappointed. Its really your loss if you dont come here. #notapaidpatnership but just a very happy vacationing customer.

MrsTravelled with my wife for holiday, Leopard point resort Malindi is one best hotel when checking it online, on the ground things are different, i regret staying and spending my money, i had booked a sea view room unfortunately it's not what i got, upon enquiries from the staff she seemed to have no hospitality experience seemed to be so busy when addressing us. Thanks to the gentleman who took our luggage, he seemed he has knowledge in the industry despite him being there for few days, "learned that after a long chat." If you are planning to take your kids for holiday, please Leopard point is not the place, for the dressing code mostly that of ladies is provocative close to being naked! The linen in the room is dirty has stains, at a point i had to move with my bed sheet to another room i was moved after a complain of the sea view room, from the look of things the place is totally managed by staff who qualify to run a pub but not a hotel, value for money the place doesn't value your money! Restaurant staff needs 5 star training, at times we thought we were in a karate school from the uniform and untrained staff who would just talk in their mother tongue. Housekeeping staff seemed well behaved, trained and well groomed, keep up. Likely to return 1 out of 10, value for money 1 out of 10, staff-housekeeping 8 out of 10, front office 0 out of 10, restaurant 2 out of 10 location 10 out of 10, facility 8 out of 10 and overall 1 out of 10!!
