A piece of heaven on earth! The welcoming smiles and tranquillity set the tone for our 3 night stay. How sad we only spent 3 nights at Leopard Mountain! Graham our 24/7 game ranger was knowledgeable and went to so much effort to ensure we had magnificent sightings. Wild berry and fruit sampling were a treat. The food was super delicious and so beautifully presented. Loved the lunchtime picnic baskets, especially when we had lunch next to the pond with the buck nibbling grass right next to us. I only missed a glass of red wine with dinner, not Leopard Mountain's doing (lockdown restrictions were strictly adhered to). What an experience, absolutely nothing I would like to change.

10 yr wedding anniversaryWhat a magical anniversary. The room with private balcony, plunge pool and never-ending views was pure luxury. All the staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was unforgettable. The food and snacks were delicious. I especially loved being able to have a picnic basket on our balcony while taking in the views and tranquility and a private boma dinner with a crackling fire. James, our ranger, made every effort to maximise our sightings and was incredibly well studied.

Heaven in the DownpourEXCELLENT EXCELLENT. EXCELLENT. Take the time and read what this team did for us. My wife and I originally booked to visit leopard Mountain in January. Direct contact with a Covid + person made us request a date change for safety sake and we were award the 12th to 14th February as a follow up. We were both looking forward to a splendid if not delayed arrival to Leopard Mountain. As murphy's law dictates our challenges were not over. A tropical storm from Mozambique checked into the reserve on the same day as we did and remained a prominent 80% guest for all three days. The level of Rain was incredible and we saw rivers swell and small streams turn into flash floods. Ryan Viviers the lodge owner led from the front clearing a low level bridge in a flash flood and dark cold rain so we could return to the comfort of the lodge after an evening game drive. Our Guide Jian went out of here way at every chance to show us the reserve despite the continuous downpour. Any break in the rain was used as a chance to travel the muddy roads and seek animals. On Sunday afternoon My wife and I were driven by Jian to sit amongst a herd of Elephant for two hours. They peacefully surrounded the vehicle and its the best elephant experience I have ever had. Two cheetahs then walked past us only to disappear again in the long Savana. For over an Hour Jian spoke to us of how an impala remained fixed on a spot, how various birds called and chirped warnings and how the elephants sensed something. Her knowledge and teaching was amazing and we learned so much. True to her forecast the elephant eventually wandered through the grass and disturbed the two cheetah hiding right under our nose. It was magnificent. Jian was patient, clearly completely at home in the bush and an excellent host. George at the lodge and restaurant was another exemplary human. One night walking us to the suite he spotted a puff adder laying in wait for frogs crossing the walk way. Such a beautiful specimen and I don't know how he spotted it as easily as he did. Melissa the lodge manager went above and beyond even inviting us into her home to meet her family and pets. particularly the rescue cat who unlike our rescues was actually rescued after being swallowed by a python. Thanks Melissa for all you and the team did for us. In terrible weather we sat next to Lion, had the best elephant sighting and interaction ever, two cheetah and saw a wide variety of other game. Great cuisine service and luxury. I will be back.
