Beautifl placeI recently stayed at Leo Palace and had an amazing time there. The staff was more than professional and the rooms gorgeous, they could use a little touching up here and there on the exterior but it's something a guy like me is more likely to notice (I'm a builder) other than that I highly recommend the place, there's everything on site and it's close (driving) to get to town but not in all the chaos of being downtown.

Needs a large dose of TLCImpressive entrance and reception area. The Towers housing the rooms are very tatty and in need of a full refurb. The swimming pol opposite Quest Tower would be closed down in the UK. Large areas of Crazy paving missing and cracked with chips of concrete laying around the pool side. No umbrellas, so nowhere to get shade The putting green for USD10 pp is a joke, some of the 'greens' are actually just sand and the area is poorly maintained given the charge made with the grass (where there was some) being too long for putting Bars and bowling lanes didn't open until 6pm. if you fancy a lunchtime beer, no bars open. On the positive side, the shuttle bus into shopping center and town was excellent

Felt like I was in prisonAt the recommendation of some friends, I decided to stop for a walk to the Japanese tank on the property and lunch at one of the restaurants. I was stopped at 2 security checkpoints on my way to the main resort building and had a positive experience with the guards at those locations. I was instructed by security to check in at the front desk before proceeding to the tank. I then proceeded to the front desk and things quickly went downhill. On my way into the resort, a 3rd security guard was present and was yelling and whistling obnoxiously at other hotel patrons who were apparently not using the sidewalk. Why they have so many security guards all over the property, I cant figure out. I get to the front desk and the woman working had no idea what tank I was talking about and went to speak with her manager. When she returned, I was told to leave the property immediately or I would be removed by security. No reason was given nor was there a mention of my request to walk to the tank. I tried to reason with the staff and was told to go to the Tour Lounge to see about options for going to the tank. The woman working the desk for the tours didnt speak good English, so I believe she was telling me I had to pay $200 to go on a Jeep tour to the tank, that there were no trips for that day, and she was unable to tell me when the next tour opportunity would be. With the threat of removal from the property for no reason and inability to communicate with the tour desk staff, I decided it best to not give LeoPalace any business and I promptly departed without seeing the tank or eating lunch. Very poor customer service and way too many security guards. Felt like a jail.

Vegetarian food - how difficult can it beIt surprises me in 2020 that restaurants still struggle to provide a good quality and variety of vegetarian options at every meal. Why put meat, poultry and/or fish in the salads when there are already those options separately for carnivores. Vegetarians are not the same as vegans in their food choices.
