  Noisy !

  We didnt particularly like the place Mondsee itself as it seemed very orientated to water sports and a lakeside cafe we visited for a drink could not have been more hostile and unfriendly. So not a good start before finding our hotel had shortcomings. In a fairly central location but because of that we found our room (207) to be particularly noisy and this carried on until 1:00 am with more noise at 3 and 4 and 5 am. Perhaps other rooms were better. The room itself was huge and had a comfortable bed and a sofa and easy chairs. However it was very hot and there was no air conditioning so we had to leave the windows open despite the noise. In the bathroom earplugs were provided !!! Not recommended.

  Lovely Hotel with Friendly Staff

  We had a great stay at this hotel. We arrived late in the afternoon,drenched with rain. The staff were very helpful and arranged for our bags to be taken to our room. The hotel boasts an excellent spa, with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, all of which can be used free of charge. The hotel provided a great continental breakfast and also cooked eggs to order. The ham and cheese omlette was delicious! It was well located, a short walk to the lakeside.

  Nice place to stay

  A friendly receptionist directed us to our room which was across a bridge to the old part of the hotel. It was a lovely big room with a wonderful view overlooking the marketplace and St Michael's Church (of Sound of Music fame). We could even enjoy a brass band which turned up there from our room. Luckily it was a cool night so we weren't disturbed by any noise at night. The breakfast selection was excellent with eggs cooked to order.

  Adorable guesthouse

  We stayed only 1 night but how lovely. We divided in 2 rooms and we had a suite. Nice breezy large room If you are located at the rear may be a bit noisy. 2 min walk from the Basilica Spotless clean and very friendly staff The breakfast is to die for. It was the best part totally unexpected It was our first time in Austria It set the tone. It a full spread with cold and hot and custom hot plate on demand Strongly recommend if you are doing a stop in this town.

  Charming hotel in a great location.

  This hotel was was situated right in the main square of town across from the main church. The management was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and nicely decorated, but the room views faced the back garage area.
