  Ledger Plaza Bahari Beach Hotel, we ended up in a garbage dump!

  Gosh where do I start ..... I think 1 star is too much for this hotel. It is a fairly large hotel on the beach. It has so much potential, but unfortunately that is not reflected anywhere. The first thing we saw was trash, lots of trash everywhere, in the restaurant, at the pool, in the garden, on the beach. Waste everywhere we looked! Directly at the pool was a wing of a crow. Yes that's right, a wing of a crow. I walked to the pool bar, where 4 employees were 'relaxing' and asked them to clean up the wing. I told them that we were just standing on a garbage dump and that they had to clean up ...... unbelievable. The houses that were clearly subject to decay and where everything needed an update. Everything was old and worn out. You can tell from the restaurant in particular that it was once a nice hotel. But that is no longer the case. The breakfast was good, but the lunch and especially the dinner were not good. A chicken dish was actually a bone dish. The room was as clean the cleaning lady could make it despite the rusted shower and poorly finished bathroom. Fortunately the bed was clean, otherwise we would not have stayed here for two nights. I took pictures of everything, because you just wouldn't believe it. I would certainly not stay here again.

  Escaped the very cloudy/rainy day with a bit of sunshine...

  Went with for a Team Building session with a big number of Staff... and the weather was so cloudy with some pretty heavy showers the previous day... but suddenly the sun popped out and some winds came in and seemed to drive away the clouds... only to drizzle after we had some exciting team building activities in the open.

  Ledger Plaza Bahari Beach Hotel a Hazardous and Hostile Place

  What a terrible experience. Where to start. What was intended to be a birthday treat for our son ended up being a nightmare. Being a water baby, he loves to swim. The pool had so many dangerous points we were on edge the whole time. The front of our patio had sharp metal sticking out, as did the path to our hotel. What was left of fencing had bits of metal and nails rusting away. The beach out the front had syringes and other rubbish, so that was also an unsafe place to walk with a curious 3 year old. The staff were lovely (it is not their fault that noting has been done to repair the property or maintain it since my husband was there in 2013). When our breakfast (if you could call it that for what was meant to be a 5 star hotel: instant coffee with no milk in sight) was stolen by house crows, almost pecking our son as they stole food off his plate, we knew we had to leave. The manager, Adili did nothing to compensate us other that promising to refund the 3 nights we had ahead of us. He has not done this. We are seeking legal advice. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. PLEASE! STAY SAFE!

  INTERESTING TRIP

  spend a night with family earlier in the month. The booking and reception on arrival at the hotel and check-in were smooth. The room was clean and well planned and ocean-facing. All the staff was friendly!! The beach was clean and the security team doing as an excellent job, big kudos to them!!! The breakfast was good. Masala tea was good! Big thumbs up to chef!! The only hurdle we faced was lack of HOT WATER in the shower despite the electrician trying his level best to ensure supply but was futile. Hence the stay could have been even better with running hot water in such a big hotel!!! Unfortunately, WIFI wasn't working, the staff apologized at check-in, for the same but hope it was a one off issue

  Fantastic Sea Food Portions...

  As a Sea food lover or just Prawn lover, I never miss an opportunity to order..by far this has been not only sumptuous but a great portion as well...Be warned though that while the staff is friendly and hospitable some of the frequent patrons are not. Our kids were discriminated against by other kids who even went to the extent of moving to a different part of the pool and eventually left entirely :(. Overall we had a good time though...
