Great spot in Val ClaretOur family of 5 stayed at the Hotel LEcrin over New Year as part of a ski holiday through Mark Warner. As usual with Mark Warner you get a well organised chalet/hotel with good food and like-minded people. the hotel staff were all great - very friendly and helpful, although to be fair they were only a few weeks into a long season. The twin rooms were clean and well-appointed and there was a plentiful supply of hot water. Wi-fi was patchy if serviceable but definitely an area for improvement. The hotel also boasts a pool and spa which we didn't visit, but they looked good. The food was excellent - plentiful breakfasts, a good choice for afternoon tea and a good 3 course meal every night. My wife is gluten and dairy intolerant, but the restaurant staff managed to accommodate this with no problem at all. Th hotel is basically opposite the slopes, but the main lifts at the foot of Val Claret were either 2 short bus stops away of a 5-10 minute walk in ski boots if you were feeling more energetic. Overall a great location, with friendly staff. Highly recommended

Well run Mark Warner chalet hotelOn arrival met by accommodating staff who unloaded our bags which had been marked with the room numbers at the airport. A nice touch. Rooms were of a good standard with interconnecting doors if required. Shower in the bath and separate toilet. Small balcony looking out the back. Fridge and TV working OK. English channels available. Excellent food in restaurant for dinner. Cake, tea, coffee and soup available around 4pm. Bar is ok but no beer, all lagers. Bit pricey but there is free wine at dinner. Breakfast has lots of choices although the sausages werent that good. Pool, sauna and steam rooms were good. Overall good value for money.

Great Staff, Great Hotel, GreatJust had a week Skiing in Val Claret, staying at this hotel. I found the staff cheerful and helpful, the food was plentiful (buffet breakfast: fruit, full English, cereal & pastries), Evening meal was great quality-( choice of two starters, three mains and a sweet or cheese). The drying room has lockers big enough for two peoples boots, skis, poles, helmet and gloves. I used the swimming pool, sauna and steam room every night. The rooms are big enough, well appointed and clean. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thanks guys.

Lovely hotel, food and staff, spa area was a real disappointmentOverall, enjoyed our stay in this MW hotel for our skiing holiday. It is lovely and very relaxed with a comfortable bedroom, although it is getting tired with some things damaged or broken. The staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly and made the stay very comfortable. The food was outstanding, far better than I could have imagined with a few options for each course at dinner, excellent cakes at the afternoon tea and a good selection at breakfast. One area I was very disappointed with however was the spa. The advertisement shows a lovely spa area with a bubbling jacuzzi. It's actually only slightly warm with no working bubbles, therefore not that pleasant. We found it tolerable by warming up in the sauna (two small but nice saunas, but don't bother with the steam rooms, just awful) then cooling in the 'jacuzzi' (after a shower, obviously). Not really how it should be enjoyed, does explain why the pool/spa area was little used. The pool/spa area was also fairly dark as most of the lights are broken. The changing/showering/gym area is in most need of freshening up and a deep clean, very 70's style with a tiny changing area and a small gym with very old equipment. I was very disappointed with this as I had selected this hotel over others due to it having a spa therefore being a cut above the rest, but it ended up being quite standard as a hotel, although the staff and food were outstanding.

Great week thanksComfortable chalet hotel. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food good with a choice of meals too. Rooms compact but perfectly ok. Plenty of hot water, comfy beds and quiet at night. Bar prices reasonable. Pool too cool for some but ok for me. Whole MW experience positive - well done
