  Perfect lockdown treat.

  The hotel launched "return of the roast", a takeaway service last weekend ( Feb 7) and as we live relatively local we thought we would give it a go. We ordered a chicken meal for two and what a treat. A traditional Sunday lunch which exceeded all our expectations. The chicken was beautifully cooked, the roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips were great and the 2 additional sides of kale and cauliflower were also top notch. The portions were very generous with more than enough for the 2 of us, and no washing up! We will definitely be ordering again before lockdown ends.

  Valentines 3 course meal

  We decided to order the 3 course meal to collect, for Valentines day as a treat in lockdown. Would definitely recommend, the food was delicious and great value for money. Will definitely be ordering a Sunday roast to collect again

  Valentine 3 course Sunday Lunch

  We treated ourselves to the 3 course Valentine's Day special Sunday Lunch that we collected from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and carried the food to the car for us. The food was delicious, good quality and very generous portions. We will definitely be ordering Sunday Lunch again.

  Fantastic Lockdown Sunday Roast for Collection.

  In these difficult times a special Sunday lunch is something for us all to look forward to and the Chef at Lea Marston Hotel and Spa has really answered the call. For the last few Sundays we have been lucky enough to be able a Sunday Roast Chicken dinner for collection. We asked if Chef could provide a gluten free serving for my wife and the Hotel were happy to oblige. We requested the meal be ready for 2pm and everything was ready and extremely well packaged. This week we asked if they could provide a sweet and Chef included Sticky Toffee Puddings in a standard and gluten free and they were devine. It's such a shame the Hotel is closed but well done to all the staff for carrying on.

  Definitely not what I was expecting for the price

  I'm going to start off by saying my room was not the cheapest room on offer and the room looks and smells like a care home, not just the room, the whole place has that care home fragrance. The carpet and furniture is very dated and rather tatty. My view out of the window is of some poorly looked after court yard. The bathroom has some random blue spot light, like they are trying to deter me from shooting up with smack, like in the McDonalds toilets. Not all the lights works in the bathroom. The shower was on full power and struggled to get me wet. At this point I'm going to say, I pulled up and there as 5 cars in the carpark, so the shower pressure is not down to customer demand, there was none. That's the same for the wifi, dreadfully slow. They have a reasonable menu despite COVID, but given the rest of the hotel, I'm not gonna waste my money and risk it, I'll just get an Uber Eats instead. I changed hotels from the Birmingham City Airport Novotel (which I was in for two nights) to this one because I didn't want to pay £12 a night parking. I wish, wholeheartedly, I didn't change and just put up with the parking charges. The hotel was far better and cheaper. On the plus side with this hotel, the bed is big and very comfortable, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one.
