  En pleno centro y precio muy económico

  El personal fue muy amable, las habitaciones eran básicas pero limpias y suficientes para dormir y pasear por la ciudad. Parking enfente, de pago, pero barato en comparación a otras ciudades. Sin dida repetiría. La ciudad y los campos de batalla mertecen la pena.

  Good location

  Situated in the heart of the city, this quaint hotel offers clean and comfortable en suite rooms. The building is old so the stairwells and passages can be a bit dark, but the room we stayed in had been nicely renovated. There are no extra facilities within the rooms, such as tea/coffee or a fridge, but it does have good Wifi. It's an easy walk to the river where numerous restaurants line the bank closest to the old city. As an optional extra you can have a continental breakfast in the large sun-drenched dining room.

  Quaint and friendly hotel

  I arrived here on my motorbike without any previous booking. The lady in charge was very friendly and helpful found me a room very quickly. My bedroom was of a good size with a decent ensuite. Good quality Wi-Fi. Breakfast in the morning was quite adequate, typical French continental cheese, bread, jam coffee and cereals. The owner was very helpful and allowed me to park my motorbike right on the pavement outside the front door

  Curtain to the toilet

  We were planning two nights in Verdun. But at the hotel we had a room with only a curtain to the toilet. If you were a soldier of WW1 you wouldnt mind. But my wife is from a culture, where it is very embarrasing to hear toilet noises. So we only stayed one night. And yes the breakfast was mediocre or below. For instance I wouldnt call the coffee "coffee" Staying there gives an example of the french version of the isolated perfectness. And if you still are in doubt, ask yourself why the hotel has to emphasize at the entrance, that all room has its own toilet and bath. One answer might be that it is not common in this area of the city.

  M time in Verdun

  The St Paul was perfect for my stay in Verdun, I was here to tour the battlefields and cemeteries from WW1. The St Paul was a cheap place to stay, conveniently located, safe, my room was clean and the breakfast provided was a great start for my day. Ive been backpacking the world for 40 years it met all my needs. The staff was helpful, very friendly and super patient with my butchering of the French language. An added treat was Tor the resident dog. Being on the road for several weeks and away from my dog, it was nice to have an dog to love on. Hey if you want something with more amenities you can find it. All I need is a place to lay my head, a clean bathroom and shower and Im good to go. I dont spend much time in a room anyway. Ill be back in Verdun and Id stay there again. Relax and enjoy the vibe!
