False apperancesThe website of this ' logis' no longer describes the reality. The cook is gone or has lost all his abilities, the somelier must be asleep someplace and the two left to run the place excell in writing wrong or false bills (they add apertifs, they switch rooms, and even when corrected they produce a false bill). They also have two dogs who are allowed to roam everywhere, also during meals. The place is close to becoming a mess. Rooms are still clean though, thanks to a lady who still accepts that work is work.

Clean, comfortable and large room...A wonderful building with a spectacular frontage, sadly for us the village was in lock down with road blocks and heavy machinery installing a water main directly outside the Hotel. It is very convenient to leave your car in the parking area immediately outside the rear of the St Eloi. We received a warm welcome. However, the Room not ready even at 3.30pm. We went to a Bar/Tabac just down the road for a beer while we waited. When we returned were ushered to a very nice large airy room with a large clean en suite bathroom. A large comfortable bed and had a quiet nights sleep, but the roadworks started at 8am. We had elected not to take breakfast and had some difficulty in attracting any attention when we came to pay and check out. In the evening we ate in the St Eloi restaurant because there was apparently no where else to eat in the village. The overnight stay was pleasant enough but we were very disappointed with the evening meal experience and I have separately reviewed this as a restaurant. The WiFi was flaky to non existent at best ! We will not be returning.

Monsieur le vicompteWe did not stay at this grubby hotel . The room was unwelcoming and very tired.. I viewed another. Slighly bigger but similar. This was an extremely poor choice and pics did not reflect reality. It looked like it absolutely ruined our weekend. Fortunately we drove to Limoges and stayed at a chain which was lovely and clean and modern and saved the day. Read this

Excellent food and wine with an attractive and well-equipped roomWe stayed one night and found the room to be very pretty with expensive accessories. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Wide range of menus, with good local produce expertly prepared. Definitely recommended.

DisappiontedThis hotel was not of 4* quality. One room very small, lounge badly designed and not comfortable, dinner over pretentious, vegetarian pumpkin soup had fish in it and generally unsatisfactory. Having booked two nights we decided to move after one. The acting Manager assured us that they would not take payment for the second night. When we received our credit card bill we noticed that a further 154 euros had been taken after we had left. When we spoke to the Manager she said that the acting Manager was not authorized to waive the charge for the second night.
