Great viewThis is a hotel for people who like to stay in the rural areas. A while after we left the motorway, we were wondering if our GPS was wrong, but finally we arrived at this utterly charming place. The rooms are quite average, but the scenery is great. Sleep quality not so good because of heat and no air condition. The restaurant is absolutely topp class. Dinner in the evening was worth a Michelin star. Breakfast was a disappointment; very French and very light. Croissants, baguettes, jam, coffee/tea and juice. Slow internet connection.

Atmospheric fine diningOur friends who have a house in nearby Dom-Pierre-Les-Ormes recommended this restaurant to our party of four and what a recommendation it was. Rather unassuming from the exterior you are awestruck from the advantage point the dining room takes in the rolling scenery. More over an electrical storm added intrigue as it skirted around the outlying hillside. All this before you start the meal! Faultless from start to finish. Fine dining with plenty of flavours and textures to tantalise. Served with superb wines. We shall certainly revisit on our next trip.

Fantastic Food, Nice HotelThis was certainly one of my top 5 Restaurants ever! The starter (pork fillet mignon), the 2nd dish(varities of beef) and the 3rd course(Fish) were really good. We will come back! Service was really nice. Wine was fantastic. Merci Beaucoup!

It was worth adding some kilometers to our journeyReally hot day early July travelling back to UK. Decided to come off autoroute north of Macon and see what Logis were in the area with a pool. After a few, found this one had rooms. Ended up over an hour later some kilometers back where we had come from. A hamlet with a single hotel at the cross roads. Been to similar places before having travelled through France for some 35 years on and off. In those early days it could be hit or miss, as even now, but Le Saint Cyr proved to be a smash hit! Why? The friendly greeting and helpfulness on arrival from madam. Offering the choice of two rooms. We chose the rear which was hotter, but a fabulous view. This proved to be magical as I awoke rather hot as moonlight lit a scene as old as human habitation with cattle grazing from the manger below our window and the adjacent farmhouse bathed in the moonlight. Comfy room with a small but adequate shower room. Next, the pool situated a stroll away very welcome on this hot afternoon. Back for a rest, a shower and an aperitif before dinner. All good so far and the main event of dinner was excellent. We later spoke to Le Chef who is half of the husband and wife team who run this Logis and do a great job, thanking him for a lovely meal. Some more tables outside for having a drink would have been good, but that is a constructive suggestion, as this was a perfect find and why we love travelling through France. Surprises are possible and usually pleasant ones. Breakfast was not overpriced as seems to be the case these days in too many places and hit the spot with good coffee. So, another place to remember when passing and maybe spend more than one night at next time.
