  Lovely, peaceful resort

  I liked the breakfasts each day - outside, with great food, service and fresh flowers. The rooms were wonderful - clean, spacious with everything we needed. It was quiet, with room to walk around the grounds. The people were friendly, and our guides were very good - knowledgeable, personable and took us many places in a short time, especially with Chinese New Year making things especially busy!

  Quiet, shady retreat

  The 5 spacious cabins set amongst the teak trees and tropical gardens make a perfect place to return to after a busy tour day. Vora was really helpful; nothing was too much trouble. Because it's outside the city, tours don't pick you up as they do from hotels in the city, but Vora was happy to transport us in to a shopping center to meet the tour, and pick us up later in the day. Then, into the pool to relax. Cora's mother cooked us a simple but delicious meal one night at a good price. A washing machine was available to use at a minimal price, and a ping pong table in a gazebo was a fun activity to fill in the time. Also the wifi was great. Recommended for people wanting to relax.

  A Beautiful Resort Close to Everything I wanted to See

  When looking for a place to stay in Chiang Mai I worried about finding a place near the attractions I wanted to see that also had modern facilities and a pleasant experience to offer. Im so glad I found Le Saichan!! No more than 30 minutes from the airport, 30 minutes from downtown, 30 minutes from major attractions like ATV riding and The Tiger Kingdom. Spotless rooms, modern bathrooms, a great dining area, and even a clothes-washing machine that guest can use. A beautiful teak-tree orchard, with a playground for the kids, right next to the spacious swimming pool. I couldnt have asked for a better resort than Le Saichan. The only thing better than our accommodations were our hosts, the Kerdsai family. Mr. and Mrs. Kerdsai keep things neat as a pin and running smoothly, and their daughter Deer was always available to answer any questions in either Thai or English. They even had a bacon and eggs breakfast ready for us each morning (and Im told they can accommodate vegetarian requests as well). If you are looking for a great resort in Chiang Mai that offers beautiful grounds, wonderful hosts, and a much better experience than you would find at a mere hotel, then you definitely want to stay at Le Saichan!

  Amazing Family Getaway

  We loved staying at Le Saichan with Vora and her family. We had a beautiful bungalow that was very private and comfortable. The surrounding gardens, teak trees, and playground were great for playing, strolling, and relaxing. We also enjoyed the pool on hot days. The best part of our stay was the excellent care and attention we received from Vora and her family. We stayed over the Christmas holiday, and they hosted us for a special lunch and had small gifts for the kids, making our stay really special. The daily breakfasts were convenient and lovely, and help with excursions to surrounding attractions was really appreciated. We recommend the Siam Insect Zoo, Zombie Cafe, and the Elephant Poopoo paper park as nearby attractions. If you have the chance, definitely check out Le Saichan.

  Perfect base for a travelling family

  We spent one month staying at Le Saichan, and everything the other reviews have said is totally correct. The area is perfect for people looking to either explore the local area or simply relax, and is ideal for families travelling with children. The best, undoubtably, was Vora and her family, who looked after us perfectly, and made us feel completely welcome the whole time. They showed a genuine desire to help and made us feel totally at home. The Siam insect park is not to be missed, and if you can find an ecological elephamt sanctuary then these amazing animals warrant a visit.
