  Amazing location

  Rooms nothing special -food quite good- situation by the river stunning dining al fresco was a delightful experience watching the birds and general wildlife. Birds and people fishing in and on the river rowers flashing past on a Beautiul summers evening

  As good as ever!

  Usually visit Le Rivage on way down/up through France. Nearly didnt go based on negative review - but pleased to report it was as good as ever. Lovely location for dinner overlooking the river, food as good as ever. Do visit.

  Hotel Le Rivage is nice but could easily be better.

  LOCATION: The hotel is situated directly on the river with lovely views from many rooms and the restaurant. ROOMS: Spacious rooms, many with great views. The rooms need refurbishing. RESTAURANT: The hors doeuvres were quite disappointing. The day menu (25) was fine. Maybe a wine menu without crossed out prices and added much higher prices would have been better. STAFF: Always very kind and welcoming. OTHER: We have had an incorrect bill almost every time we stayed at the hotel. Of course, the bill gets corrected before payment but it should not have to be necessary in the first place. OVERALL: Yes, I would recommend this hotel because of its spacious rooms and lovely location. Would I recommend the restaurant? Not sure.

  Stop over visiting friends in Toulouse

  We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions for many years, before and after visiting our French friends who live just outside Toulouse. Although the rooms are basic, they are comfortable and clean and we have been fortunate to be given a room overlooking Le Loiret. It's position offers beautiful views and is ideal for walking. However, the main reason we stay here is because of its amazing restaurant which offers fine dining and excellent wines. The staff are friendly and accommodating and we will no doubt stay again on our next visit to France. My husband and I stayed for one night at the beginning of our trip and two nights on our return home. Although the cuisine was delicious, if we were to stay for a longer period of time, we would like to be offered a more varied menu.

  Memorable hotel with excellent restaurant

  Our arrival experience was less than perfect as we were booked for a week ahead of our actual stay! But all turned out well. While appreciating the location, the hotel is less than 'sparkling' and could be better in many minor ways; more attention to maintenance, trimming of shrubs, welcoming guests... The dining room is traditional and comfortable with trained staff. The food served is excellent, freshly prepared and good value for money
