  In need of some TLC

  We went for drinks on the lovely terrace. Although quiet it took quite a while to get served. Restaurant looked nice. As well as a la carte they serve a large buffet at lunchtime which seemed good value. We wandered around the grounds . The rooms on the ground floor have French Windows but you get the general impression the exterior could do with a lake of paint.

  good for a 1 night stopover

  Stayed here with friends for 1 night, the Hotel is a couple of miles out of town, but great if you have a dog, as the grounds around the hotel are good for walking. The rooms are a little dated, but clean, and the ground floor rooms open out onto the grass . Tea and Coffee tray in the room. We had lunch in the restaurant, very good Buffett to choose from, or you can order from the menu. We aslo had dinner here, and set menu offered pigs cheeks, which were great.

  Good place for a one night stop

  We needed a hotel in or near La Charité-sur-Loire and this seemed the most promising. And so it turned out to be. We arrived a bit early and our rooms weren't ready but we were immediately given cups of coffee. They were comfortable and clean with a view over the Loire(?) mostly hidden by the trees. The room was quiet but I am not sure how noisy the rooms are facing the road. The breakfast was good and the price very reasonable. My only complaint was that the cleaner had left some dirty towels in the room which I mentioned as we went out mid afternoon but by the time we returned at 10 pm they had still not been removed.

  Great for stopover travelling down France

  We stayed here for one evening and cannot rate its facilities and location highly enough. I would stop for at least 2 evenings in the future as ideally situated for visiting the region and the service and facilities were excellent, with staff friendly although English limited.

  Muffig

  Oud & muffig. Old and outdated, like the restaurant. Bath didnt work. Next to the high way. Not very clean (there were dirty spots on the wallpaper). Forniture is at least 30 years old. I would not recommend this hotel!
