Thundering pipesDear fellow travellers, We now have our belly full of this type of hotel. It is the so-maniest time we tried a "Logies de France" and one can really not stay in these dilapidated hotels any more. The room was absolutely dirty. The floors were dirty and creaking and in the bathroom one was afraid to step on it at all, for fear to land in the room below. The water pipes were thundering when a neighbour opened a tap. Glad that we only booked one night. The promised swimming pool didn't look too clean either and the one toe that we put in turned instantly into ice. Furthermore the town has nothing worth visiting. No private parking, but parking space across the road next to the church. A long walk with bags to the room. Drive carefully, Frederik.

Dead and boringOk, I'll admit it we went off season and I think the only folk staying. This hotel looks quite grubby from the outside and inside is not a lot better. It's tired and looks as though it was decorated about 10- 15 years ago. Our room was in 'French ' traditional style - read dull and brown but not in a way that is appealing. I love traditional hotels but frankly this is past its sell by date The receptionist in the little cabin was less than helpful or friendly, there was no parking, although across the street there was parking by the church. Even though we appeared to be the only guests staying we were directed to a room some way away but that required going up and down several stairways - there is no lift, however for us not a problem but if you're informed or plain old and unable to walk up stairs , this is not a place for you The evening meal was average And appeared to be precook ex, although I'll do a separate restaurant review on that. Breakfast must have been set out the previous evening and the jam pots were well used, the bread which required cutting - no issue - but had no protection from every persons hands that needed bread, so if you want bread get there and cut your own before half the world touches it. The evening was getting a bit cool and with no heating on in the lounge the receptionist reluctantly lit a wonderful open fire which was apolitical only by the large rip in the chair - I suppose this typifie the hotel, would have been nice if kept up to date Frankly we were disappointed with this place in all aspects Would I stay here again ? No I wouldn't.

Large town centre logis. The hotel is right in the town centre and like many French properties looks quite dilapidated from the outside, inside was fine although somewhat jaded.. Parking (free) is in the town square 100 metres away. Our room was small but with a nice bathroom. Service was friendly.

Basic, clean but very noisy on a hot nightWe stayed in Logis regularly 20+ years ago but for no particular reason hadn't stayed in one for years. The flock wallpaper and rooms without ensuite facilities have gone. But our room, opposite the church where most people park, was very hot. The only way to cool it was to open a window. Unfortunately there is a road junction directly outside. My wife, a heavy sleeper, didn't notice but I spent most of the night awake listening to cars and trucks coming to a near standstill at the junction then accelerating away. Quite why a tractor and trailer went thought at 03:50 I will never know. In colder weather I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue but it did rather colour my experience, especially after a 5 hour drive with a 6 hour one to follow the next day.

Eco-friendly and full of characterPleasant and friendly, not top luxury but this is a traditional logis with unusual, slightly nostalgic, decor and a shaded garden com courtyard where you can have a drink and relax with your friends. Excellent local food, nicely presented, and great buffet breakfast. Convenient location in the town centre.
