  Unique!

  Small, boutique hotel. Looking a bit tired, small bathroom, no battery for TV remote, no net curtains for window which also led out onto a roof. Breakfast was good continental style in a fairly big room. Good central location, free nearby parking, good restaurants nearby too. Town looking a bit tired. We also had a weird checking in procedure too. The main door was locked, so we had to register our arrival via an intercom! Still, it is a central hotel, not too expensive and the bed was comfortable. However, they definitely need to invest in a refurbishment.

  Badly in need of refurbishment

  The photos we saw were somewhat misleading, the room looked nothing like anything we had seen and was very disappointing. Our room was extremely small, very stuffy and old fashioned and run down. Bathroom was old fashioned and tiny, with rusty radiator and threadbare towels. Cost of the rooms is expensive considering the basic accommodation on offer. The walls were very thin, we could hear every noise coming from other rooms. Good central location, but its in desperate need of a complete refurbishment.

  Interesting set up.

  Between us, and another group of tourists we sussed out the check in process which was in the chocolate shop next door. The room was small and basic, but enough for what we needed. The TV wouldn't pick up any channels, and whilst I was trying to test the aerial lead, it gave me a small electric shock, so I decided watching foreign language TV wasn't worth the risk. Fortunately the WiFi was good and I was happily streaming youtube in no time. Location is nice and central, parking is nearby and free.

  Terrible experience

  The room was at the very top of the building, too small and there was no air conditioning so the heat inside made the it uninhabitable. Too expensive for the quality and size of the room. Nice place in the center of Spa

  Pleasant stay in Spa

  Perfectly located hotel for weekend visit of thermal baths and surrounding area. Warmly welcomed by owner in downstairs chocolate shop with helpful advice on parking, restaurants, and baths. Triple room was clean and spacious enough to accommodate two foldaway beds for our kids - ages 6 and 11. Coffee and tea in the room appreciated. Breakfast was good and plentiful with well-stocked croissants and boiled eggs. Note that baths are open to children 6 and above but may need to show ID as minimum age is enforced. Kids enjoyed it but quite deep for non-swimmers.
