  Yearly visit

  Warm welcome, rooms are simple but secondary to the service received. A treat every single time we visit. Located in the middle of the little town of Villers Cotterets. A must if in the area. Great pastries in the morning. Merci Mr Brunet, as usual you were a wealth of information. A l'annee prochaine.

  A Wedding Of a Friend Allowed Us to Find This Gem

  Le Regent was a wonderful place to spend several days in a relaxing environment that offered great service. A converted stable house of old. The rooms, while smaller, provide a comfortable place to relax and sleep. Part of the hotel's charm is its location in the center of this small town. We spent much of our stay touring the countryside, eating in one of the local restaurants, and of course, being involved in a wedding at Abbaye Longpont. Absolutely the best aspect of staying in the hotel is the charm and personal service of the owner/manager Brunet. He is a wealth of information about the local region, past and present, and we had several conversations on a range of these topics. Need a thought on dinner, when to head to Paris to catch a plane, or just better understanding the history of the region; Brunet knows. We will make a point of taking a train to spend a couple of nights in Villers-Cotterets at this hotel during our next visit to Paris.

  Simply average hotel...

  I had a hotel room including small kitchen with the fridge. That´s something I everytime appreciate. Unfortunately the WIFI connection in my room was worst then weak. Almost impossible to use this connection. That was caused by location of the room on the end of building. Every day the same breakfast for whole week is not the plus from my point of view and I would expect something better for the price you pay. Anyway the hotel is in the downtown. But there is almost nothing to see in Viller. But the area is really nice.

  Surprisingly amazing!

  For such a small hotel in such a small village you wouldn't expect much... Simply because you don't expect many people to go there and to run the place. But wow, was I pleasantly surprised! We arrived late (around 12AM) - due to a long trip by car - and the owner of the hotel was there to welcome us, show us to our rooms etc. That was very nice! The room was clean, very nice-looking, comfortable, big enough - no complaints at all. The bathroom had everything we needed, it was clean and very spacious. In the morning the breakfast was pleasant. The owner is very nice, he is really nice to his guests and treats them very well: he came to our table and asked us if we needed anything, recommended some places to visit and was just very nice, which we really appreciated. The only thing I would maybe improve a little bit is the WiFi, which wasn't very strong in our room, but acceptable so that was okay. What I liked most about this hotel is how "personal" the hotel was: the owner makes sure you have everything as you like it; he makes sure your stay is good. I thought that definitely added something! I had a very good stay at Hotel Le Regent, I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a place to stay in the area. A very nice hotel!

  Nice, clean, decent hotel

  We wanted to stay closer to Pierrefonds but everything was booked (and Domaine Bois d'Aucourt has sadly closed!!) which is why we ended up here. It is a 3-star hotel which put backs told us in the morning. But all the rest was just fine. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom newly renovated and in fine state. The owner is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is fine. While booking the hotel booking.com was telling me that there were so many people looking at this hotel and that they only had one (or was it two) rooms left..... arriving there I think we were the only guests!! Anyway.... so much for being stressed out because of something booking.com tells me.
