    Excellent service

Hotel service was excellent. A bit weird due to covid-19, but felt like the hotel did their best. We had to reserve time for the pool, which was a bit annoying but covid-19 is beyond their control. I suggest you plan your trip if the restrictions are still in effect when you go.

    Breakfast lets it down

Stayed for one night with two kids (11 and 6). Clean, convenient, staff (except breakfast servers) were polite and friendly. Breakfast was poor. We threw eggs and sausage away. I saw others do the same. Line up for breakfast and the staff rushed you through. Everything else was good though.

    A very pleasant stay

At the front desk, I have heard an elderly lady announce that she had been coming here for years. I can see why! The staff is friendly, the rooms are extremely clean (a rare level of clean!), there is a pool (which delighted younger guests), great ventilation units, you can also choose to let fresh air in by opening your patio door (no balcony) and you got everything you need in your room (coffee machine, wi-fi, tv, fridge, desk, toiletries). One little note is I could hear my neighbor a bit more than Id fancy and Id recommend getting better quality pillows, sheets and towels. That being said, whenever Im spending the night in Sherbrooke, I will also be coming here for years.

Review of the Hotel Le President Sherbrooke, QC

Room No. 303 Length/Type: 1-night, business trip Travel dates: Aug. 25-26, 2020 (Tuesday to Wednesday) Overall Experience: Very Good Good Points: Friendly, professional staff Clean, well kept hotel Free Wi-Fi Automatic doors (main/side entrances) Multiple charging stations in room Mini fridge in room Bad Points: Coffee maker was broken in room Malfunctioning remote control for TV General Overview: I must admit, things are a bit different in hotels these days. Although this was only a 1-night stay, I found this establishment to be quite nice. Based on the emergency escape map mounted on the rear of my room door, this hotel was once a Holiday Inn. This is my first business trip during the COVID-19 pandemic. The provincial government of Quebec has implemented various guidelines to which the hotel must follow. Access doors automatically open by a motion sensor (very smart!). Hand sanitizing stations throughout the hotel. Masks or face coverings must be worn in all public spaces inside the hotel (with the exception of certain areas, like inside the swimming pool). Speaking of which, I didnt have a chance to use the in-door pool. Based on what I heard from previous Trip Advisor reviewers, you need to reserve a spot. I didnt get a chance to eat breakfast at the hotel either due to our early check-out (we had business to conduct up in Windsor, just NNW of Sherbrooke). But the free Wi-Fi is always a plus! The Hotel Room: The room was comfortable and met all my needs. There was a foldable luggage rack, which came in handy. There was a good sized mini fridge, along with a sofa chair, writing desk, TV and a chest of drawers. What impressed me the most were the multiple charging stations around the room: One on the writing desk and the alarm clock in-between the beds. There was a small closet to hang your clothes, with detachable coat hangers. The in-room coffee maker didnt work (had to rush to lobby for a cup there instead, which was annoying in the morning). The other odd issue was the remote control for the TV (the button to go up in channels didnt work). I found the bathroom to be a bit small, but everything worked out nicely. The counter was very spacious and they even provide you with mini bottles of shampoo and bars of soap, which was a nice touch. Advice to those interested: This hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the interchange of AUT-410 and regional route 112 (quick access to AUT-55, via AUT-10). We ate dinner at a restaurant called, La Seigneurie, just north of the hotel, about a 5 minute drive away. It is somewhat similar to La Cage restaurant, in terms of menu and atmosphere. I had the Texan burger with fries, which was delicious (that, along with a couple of pints of Goose Island IPA). Masks are required at all times, except when sitting at your table. Although we ate inside, this place also has a fairly decent outdoor, sheltered terrace (which is heated when it gets cool). Room advice: - Concerning those with mobility impairments, my room was not far from the elevator/stairwell.

    Ferls like 1996, upgrade ASAP

No breakfast available, when a pamphlet clearly stated it would be adapted to the pandemic regulations. The ice making machine was so noisy it felt like I was in a fing factory: I could still hear it in my room. The toilet paper was awful: Actual sandpaper grade 200 is actually smoother. Even the mini fridge and the AC were very noisy. Not, lets talk showerheads... more than time to change these baby. It spews water badly and they are too low... impossible to wash my hair without squatting in the shower... WTF?!?. That very sad since reviews were good... mine will not. It felt like a cheap motel you rent by the hour to cheat on your husband... not only will I not recommend, I will personally avoid renting again, myself.
