  Un lugar encantador

  Queda al borde de un rio, con un magnifico jardin con mesas y reposeras, donde se puede tomar un trago rodeado por campiña alsaciana.El interior esta decorado con mucho esmero, es una antigua casa lugareña hecha a nuevo, con un magnifico estar biblioteca con varios espacios, entre ellos un bar de honor. Las habitaciones son amplias,luminosas y confortable y la atencion excelente. Ademas tiene un pequeño spa con ventanal al jardin, accesible libremente para los huespedes

  Delightful B&B with amazing dinner!

  We stayed here while on a family biking tour through Alsace. We stayed 2 nights and we all agreed that those 2 dinners were the best that we had on the whole trip. Stephane, the host and chef went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. We were there on a Saturday and had difficulty getting a taxi to the town train station. Stephane took 2 round trips in his own car to take all of us to the station. We are very grateful for that! When asked Will you be having dinner with us tonight? Your answer should be yes and you wont be disappointed! A delightful, beautifully decorated place to stay near Selestat.

  Definitely stay for dinner

  This was a charming, quirky, out-of the way small hotel (more guest house) that was filled with surprises, most notably the quality of the food. The owner/manager served as chef, and delivered a four-course meal (with wine pairings) that was among the best we had during our time in France. There were only 3 tables having dinner the night we were there, and it is important to make sure you make a dinner reservation prior to your arrival (although note that they dont serve dinner every night). Because it is out of the way and not much is near it, but more importantly given the quality of the food, we highly recommend dining in. A pre-dinner cocktail in the lobby was a nice way to kick off an unrushed, relaxing meal. There are plenty of outdoor areas to sit, and a small spa with a Jacuzzi and sauna to further recharge your batteries.

  Cozy, comfortable and well situated

  I spent 8 nights here as base camp for my genealogy explorations of the Bas-Rhin, Alsace area of France. Selestat was the 'Arondisement' (County Seat) for my ancestors that lived nearby in Bootzheim and Mackenheim. A rental car is essential when staying out in the country - however, I did note that a bus ran along the main road nearby - but the schedule was for commuters, so nothing after 7 pm. The hotel is charming, clean and comfortable. The owners are friendly and generous. They have a sweet cat named Georgie who will snuggle with you on a couch in the lounge or entertain you out in the garden while you watch and have breakfast. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choices of bread, meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt, muesli, make your own crepes, coffee and fruit juice. All very tasty and the dining room addition they built is well situated, with the garden outside and views of the River Ill. They have a photo album in the library/lounge with before and after photos - they went through a major renovation when they purchased the property - kudos to them for them for the vision an patience to make it happen. All was wonderful. I only have to say, as a Construction Project Manager for a School District and having replaced carpet in schools for 3 summers in a row - it is time for a carpet update! I can't go anywhere without looking at the carpet.....occupational hazard. ;-)

  Pleasant stay

  we had a pleasant stay. the room was cozy and spacious and enjoyed the breakfast at the side of the creek in the garden. The place is quite and really a boutique hotel with charm. We can recommend it any time.
