    Nice town, nice hotel

Love this city so much. I was so lucky that the weather was nice. Le Petit Paris was such a nice tiny place for me. The room is not fancy but clean with reasonable price. The receptionist was very helpful. Even though I got a bad memory for dinner in town but the trip was nice in general Bye bye Dalat, will be back soon!

    Not what is advertised

We reserved two separate double occupancy rooms during Vietnam's New Year Holidays which are the same as the Chinese New Year. 1st night both rooms were identical in design exception being one of the rooms smelled horrifically of mold. It was so bad we requested a room change. There were no available rooms to switch to. our search of the neighborhood for rooms found all hotels to be full. We had to accept this stinky moldy room for the first night. The TV had HBO ( in Vietnamese) and two other channels in English both playing 20 year old shows. Both rooms had two single beds not doubles. All the beds were old style mattresses with large coil springs that you felt with every movement. The booking was without breakfast but the hotel provided a buffet style breakfast for all guests anyway. the restaurant was otherwise closed. The second night the hotel upgraded the moldy room to a ground floor suite with a view of the parking lot.still two single beds (but not bony like the first nights bed) but a larger bathroom and more than one electrical outlet. The shower had a new fangled hot water tap setting and separate flow setting that you adjusted the temperature of the water by moving the faucet left or right. then you needed to adjust the shower head for your preferred water spray from jet to multiple threads of water. There was a separate hot water heater for this room where as the previous days room ran on the hotels hot water. The shower curtain pulled across the room but allowed the water to cover the entire floor with water which was on cold tiles and was cold, cold, cold to the feet and required toweling up so as to reduce the water on the bathroom floor. The WiFi would not access the internet except in the lobby from this room while the first room had great WiFi connection. The second morning there was no water pressure from 6 am to 7 am. I suggest you reconsider taking a room elsewhere. I honestly do not know how this hotel earned a 3 star rating other than it has great looking front and lobby!

    Great, quiet hotel

Loved this hotel and town. Good size, clean room, comfortable bed. Great view of the town and surrounding hills from the balcony. Clean bathroom, reasonable size. Slept well here as it was very quiet and our room looked out on the garden. No breakfast included and restaurants were 15 minute walk away. Staff were pleasant but not very helpful so we had to organise ourselves and book tours in town. Credit card facility would be good. Check if it is fixed otherwise you have to pay cash.

Boutique hotel, friendly staff, decent stay

Our family arrived at the hotel at 9pm after an exhausting trip to learn that our booking was cancelled (we booked the hotel through a friend). The staff calmly handled the situation and was nice enough to offer their staff room for free for 1 night, since they saw that we were traveling with a kid (my daughter was only 3). The next morning we moved to another room. The hotel has a very nice, well-maintained garden. I also like the decoration, pictures in the hotel very much. The downside is that wifi was very slow and unstable. I turned out to use data plan most of the time.

    Well positioned, economical

Le Petit is a nice old hotel, with all the charm of the French colonial influence Cheap enough at $18 aud. Nice lady in reception told me I could stay on at same rate for a few days, only to be told later, by a guy in reception, that if I wanted to stay on, my rate would increase to $40 usd It's not the money, but my spidey senses bristle When I'm being ripped off, so I moved to a great little hotel in town, for $13 per night. The rooms have no air conditioning, so it's imperative to sleep with a window open to enable you to enjoy the cool night breezes. The only problem with the open window is..at four am a chorus of nearby roosters start crowing, so needless to say it's hard to sleep past 4 am. If you are okay with 4 am wake up calls then you may enjoy your stay. It's not me me though, so I won't be going back. For me, there are far too many other nice, economical hotel choices
