  New owners offer warm welcome in a lovely setting

  As the name implies, the hotel offers a great view of the surrounding mountains and is close to ski resorts and Grenoble. The new owners are a young couple who have a great command of English and offered a very warm welcome. The room was clean and peaceful and there is a lovely terrace and back garden for families. We ate very well in the restaurant.

  Very welcoming

  We came across this place by chance and weren't disappointed. From the moment we stepped we were made to feel very welcome. The new owners bend over backwards to ensure you enjoy your stay. We stayed in one of the new comfort rooms which had a beautiful view of the snow topped mountain. The room was very spacious and had a really comfortable bed. If we are ever in that vicinity again we would definitely put a stay at the Le Panoramic on our itinerary. Thank you

  Friendly and welcoming owners

  The current owners took over the property about 1,5 yrs ago and are really trying to offer a great service at the Hotel. We were a party of 10 with a mix of standard and 'comfort' rooms.....the standard rooms were well enough decorated and furnished, although a little small. The comfort rooms were much larger and had more recently been refurbished. Bar area inside is open to the dining area, so not ideal from a chatter/noise perspective, but we didn't find that an issue whilst we were there. parking is good, private car park and a nice garden area too. Have to say that the owners went above and beyond for us. we got wet a few times in thunderstorms and they kindly washed/dried the clothes overnight, booked/recommended restaurant in Town and actually drove us down into Town and picked us up one night. The Town is pretty small, when we were there end of May there were few places open in the evenings, but is an easy walk. and i'd recommend this hotel as a solid base to tour the area..... acid test - would we stay there again.....all of our group said YES....that's the best vote we can give any place. only slight negative - breakfasts were a little spartan, but that's often the way in France....

  Amazing service

  We visited this hotel to spend a few days hiking in the Alps before going to Cannes. Lovely area and the staff was amazing, they were so friendly and had a very personal touch. The food was great and inexpensive. We forgot our daughters medicine in the fridge when we left and when we called them they were so helpful and friendly and sent it straight away by express post. We can highly recommendable this place. Also Allevard Centre is really nice and cosy!

  Good spacious family room, hotel felt a little tired

  Easy to find on the outskirts of Allevard, about 12mins walk from town centre. The hotel common areas felt a little tired and when we visited the restaurant was closed. Our family room was spacious, converted two rooms with nice new shower room and WC room. The staff were friendly although we felt slightly distracted by other matters. Superb view over the mountain, a bit spoiled by old furniture in the garden. Admittedly we were out of season but were in half-term. Breakfast was good, shame the one person down before us had snaffled most of the cheese and rolls. Good parking and easy to find. Probably much better during busier times.
