Good classy meals in a low starred venueThe first course was a plate of smoked salmon. No wafer thin slices here. These were thick and filling three quarters of largish dinner plate. Lovely flavours and accompanied by a local wine Dom de Pellehaut which was made from 5 or 6 different grapes, but was a tasty fragrant wine. The main course was a nice junk of fish and the slice was delicious. The sweet was typically Normandic, being apple slices baked on pastry. A good meal in spite of the establishment only being two stars.

One of the worstStayed here with my son while meeting friends that had a boat in the nearby marina. It was well located for the marina but thats the only positive thing I can say about it. 73 for room only, so not really cheap, but small, uncomfortable bed, terrible pillows, tiny bathroom, unclean and really quite unpleasant. Neither of us slept, so got up really early and left without using the shower as we knew the Mercure we were staying the following day,at for a few euros more, would at least be pleasant and it was!

Fine for what we neededWe stayed in the hotel for one night before catching an early morning ferry, which seems to be what most people are doing when they stay here. After looking at the reviews once we had booked I was very wary about staying here however was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Every staff member we encountered was lovely and accommodating, the entrance to the hotel is nicely decorated as is the restaurant and bar. Our room was in the annex across the road and we were in the attic room on the top floor. Although it was a little dated, both the bedroom and the bathroom were clean, the bed was comfy and it was nice and quiet, perhaps because we were at the top of the building. The only bad thing we encountered was that the shower head was not fixed to the wall which meant you had to hold the shower head while showering, this was only a minor inconvenience for one night though. Our stay was perfectly good for what we needed and we would definitely return in the future if we needed somewhere in this area to stay.

Decent stayStayed one night prior to early ferry. Small room in building opposite the main hotel. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.Radiator worked well. No tea or coffee making facilities unfortunately. The bathroom was small but good enough. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. Pleasant staff. We did not take breakfast as we had to leave early for the ferry and they weren't serving by then. For 2 of us it was £125 for the room and 3 course meal with aperitif, wine and digestif. I found it value for money and I would stay there again.
