  Muy recomendable

  Pasé solo una noche en este hotel, y además de disfrutar con la excelente comida, la cama fantástica, con sábanas de lo más agradables, y la piscina, los dueños me trataron muy bien, me ayudaron a planificar mi viaje y me sirvieron un desayuno delicioso. Los productos del baño son ecológicos y muy agradables. El entorno es precioso, a pesar de la carretera de detrás, cuyo ruido de alguna manera no se escucha para nada en las habitaciones. La decoración es bonita y los detalles demuestran mucho cariño hacia lo que hacen. Me encantó y si vuelvo por allí, será el hotel que elija.

  Wonderful

  Wonderful in every way. Clean, comfortable, charming, close to everything yet calm and quiet. Enjoyed a delicious meal in the beautiful garden. A delightful, knowledgeable host who makes you feel special. Highly recommend.

  Perfect dinner quality

  The garden with pool ist lovely. The look of the rooms did not match our taste (looked nicer on the photos), but everything was clean and tidy and the roomsize was ok. We loved the dinner, la madame de la maison is an excellent cook, the compositions were perfect! Unfortunately there was no dark bread and no eggs at breakfast as usual in france. Summary: Five stars for the dinner, the price is really fair. Three stars for the room and the breakfast.

  Dont miss this!

  A wonderful visit. The Ugolinis are a most pleasant and enjoyable couple. Pascal is a consummate host, very ready to advise on places to visit and things to see and always ready with pleasant conversation. His wife cooks truly delicious meals - I just finished scallops in a light cream sauce and cauliflower that couldnt be excelled. The inn, with eleven rooms, is a perfect size to relax - in the large swimming pool or on the terrace. The earliest part of the building dates to the late 16th c. The ground floor originally housed farm animals. When they renovated some years ago, they left the feeding trough on the side of the Dining Room, which I imagine many people dont even notice today. The inn is located very conveniently beside the main highway between Périgueux and Limoges, several miles beyond Périgueux. Despite its being a busy highway, the stone-walled inn turns its back on the road so that one hears nothing in the rooms or on the terrace except the sound of water spilling from the swimming pool into a lower pool, which sounds like a mountain stream - very pleasant to open the French doors in the room to go to sleep with the sound. While I used the inn as a base for daily explorations of the Dordogne for a week and a half, there was a mix of couples and families, French, Dutch and English visiting and all were pleasant. As the lone American, I felt lucky to have made it my stay, thanks to Trip Advisor. Since it was a mid-summer visit, I was concerned about the lack of air conditioning, because I cant sleep when it is hot, but I was supplied with a very good fan and discovered that the heat of the day began to disappear as soon as the last rays of the sun hit the tops of the Poplar trees in back of the garden. By the time to sleep, the air was cool and on a couple of days I used a blanket in the early morning hours. Allen Trousdale New York

  Appalling customer service

  We booked an overnight stay for 25 March enroute to the channel ports after selling our French home. Then France went into lockdown and everything was put on hold. I emailed the hotel to cancel our booking, explaining the circumstances. No response. My husband then phoned and was curtly told by Madame that her husband was dealing with it. As of mid-April no response - no email, no refund of the money they took from our bank account, no credit note. Worst customer service I have received in ten years of living in France.
