    Excellent in all regards

A little out of town and 300 metre down a dirt road but like an oasis when you arrive. We had the cheapest room which was on the small side however they tell you this when booking so no surprise and was perfectly adequate for a one night stay. Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the grounds and pool well maintained. Can thoroughly recommend.

    Beautiful hotel - no breakfast!

We walked to this hotel as part of a hotel to hotel walking holiday. It was our final stop before returning home. The room was beautiful. Quirky furniture and bathroom fittings but faultless in terms of cleanliness and facilities. We had drinks in the very pleasant bar and a superb dinner. There is not much choice on the menu, but everything was delicious and the pudding was to die for! We didnt have time to use the pool, and we had to leave at 8am to catch a train the next morning. This was a problem! The reception is unmanned from 10pm to 8 am and the kitchen does not open for breakfast until 8 am. We therefore could not get breakfast, or even a cup of coffee before setting off on our long journey home, which is really not acceptable in a 4 star hotel.

    Disappointed

Beautiful hotel with nice restaurant, but extremely disappointed with the service at the reception desk. We asked lady at the reception on the 15th of August in the evening to check whether we can extend our stay for one more night, she said she has the rooms available, but she cant book for us in the evening and she can only do it from 8am next day. We then asked her to keep in mind that we would like the room for another night so she made a note of that. In the morning we find out that they have given our room to someone else who called in the morning. Even though they had the note. And another lady at the reception told us we should have just mentioned that we want a room the night before, that it was certainly doable the night before and she couldnt explain why her colleague couldnt do it for us when she saw that there was availability - so obviously, very low qualified staff at the reception, and contrary to what it says on the website, practically dont speak English.

Very disappointing as a result of poor management

Having literally just checked into the hotel after walking over 20km as part of a family walking holiday in Provence, I let the front desk know that there was a problem with my bathroom. I was unable to run a bath and the alternator between the bath and shower had clearly been broken. The response I received was shocking and when I asked the manager to help, she stormed up to my room and told me to basically run the bath using the shower and in effect told me not to complain. This is most definitely not a four star hotel. The rooms are very tired as evidenced by the bathrooms not working and the staff are clearly not up to scratch. I will most definitely not stay here again. I would recommend finding one of the many other amazing hotels in the area.

    Over rated

This hotel needs a lesson in marketing as it has over hyped both its facilities and its food. Leaving the very gauche décor out if the équation the restaurant is very poor, food is average at best and the night we ate there there were two choices of starters both with foie gras! The reception staff were rude on arrival not allowing us to use the pool even though we were only half an hour early. Check in at 15.00 . The mini bar contained one beer and a coke, no water and there is no room service which I though was compulsory in 4 star hotel. Dont go there to eat or at all if you can avoid it
