  Exceptional occasion

  Had hoped to visit here for ages, eventually went and the whole experience was amazing. We had aperitif in the garden in the forest, accompanied by amuse bouche. Beautiful cep bread and butter, both had a samphire and lobster starter, followed by my duckling and his lamb, he then had the cheese course! We had a pre desert desert, followed by desert, he had the wine pairing and this was followed by coffee and petit fours! Yes it is expensive, but I truly believe that exceptional meals are worth it. The staff are multi lingual, the hotel and restaurant are incredible, I was a bit worried about the sommelier having had bad experiences in the past, but he was wonderful, we asked about his sommelier badge and he explained it all. I will definitely be back for the next special occasion!

  An overnight stay

  I was woken at 6am by a delivery lorry outside my room, this a Relais de Silence. The much advertised beautiful bar area was out of bounds, the area was taken over by a private group. When I talked about these problems with the hotel, there was no understanding, no attempt to remedy the situation. The room was cold, I should have brought this to their attention but little understanding had been extended. The room was cold.

  Long weekend - gastronomy and relaxation

  We visited the Manoir with friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cosy family run hotel and commitment from all employees to ensure guests are well looked after makes for a more than pleasant experience. We stayed for 2 nights. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed whiling away our time chatting in front of a blazing fire (its November). We borrowed bikes to explore the local area. And best of all, we had an amazing culinary experience dining at the chefs table in the kitchens. The food was just divine. Seasonal produce cooked to perfection in innovative and creative dishes. Definitely recommend.

  Sensational food, entirely justifying its Michelin star

  This was our 4th visit, the second since the restrictions imposed by Covid 19. The service was polished and friendly, you soon forget the masks the staff all wear. We had the 3 course set menu with paired glasses of wine. The presentation is wonderful, artistic and imaginative and the flavours are dazzling. We have a second home nearby and intend to be regular visitors here. In our four visits here, within a one year period, we've not had so much as a morsel of food or sip of wine that was other than perfect. Outstanding!

  Disappointing cuisine

  Kind and relatively welcoming staff but over-priced and poor quality cuisine. The "ballotine" was ice-cold and had the consistency of rubber. The prices invoiced for the cocktails were in excess of the prices indicated on the drinks list.
