  Encantador hotel y restaurante de montaña

  Nos alojamos en este hotel con motivo de un viaje de esquí. Conseguimos una oferta a través de la página de estación que incluía el alojamiento en media pensión, el forfait y el material de esquí. El hotel se encuentra en el centro de la estación, en la calle principal y a cinco minutos de los remontes caminando. En cuanto las instalaciones el hotel, como puedes observar por las fotos tiene muchos detalles con encanto. La habitación es de estilo rústico y limpia, aunque podrían mejorar la insonorización, y que la ducha, al menos en nuestra habitación, no se podía colgar. Dispone de cuarto de material de esqui con calentadores para las botas, taquillas para los esquís, y bancos para calzarte las botas. (hay tienda para alquiler de material de esquí a cinco minutos andando, y el material inmejorable). El desayuno está muy bien y se sirve en una sala con grandes ventanales, muy agradable; por la noche también está abierto para tomar una copa tranquilo. Unos de los puntos fuertes de alojarte en este hotel es poder disfrutar de la media pensión ofrecida en el restaurante en los bajos del hotel. Tienes acceso directo desde el hotel, pero también está abierto al público en general. El restaurante se llena no sólo de turistas, sino de clientes que parecían del lugar o asiduos, lo que, al menos para mí es, en general, una buena señal. Efectivamente dicha impresión quedó confirmada con la calidad de las viandas servidas. Comida francesa-savoyana elaborada, pero sin remilgos; dos platos y postre de muy alto nivel y buen ambiente en el restaurante. No es el mejor hotel de la estación, y le faltan algunos extras como piscina..., pero en general quedamos muy contentos y no tendríamos problemas en repetir. Ah ! recuerda que los jueves cierran la calle principal y ofrecen diversas atracciones, música, esculturas de hielo..... Sobre la estación Tignes-Val de Isere, decir que es impresionante sobre todo la parte de Tignes.

  Great hotel

  We stayed at Hotel Kandahar booking through Ski Solutions agents. My husband and I still cannot understand how this is not rated higher than 3*. The hotel is in a great location, has all the facilities you could need, rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, breakfast selection was first class, lovely attached restaurant and most importantly the staff in the hotel were all very warm, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to the main chair lifts. It is so central and surrounded by lots of fabulous food venues and amazing shops. The hotel lobby and bar are beautifully decorated and serve a nice area to chill out after a long day on the slopes. There is a secure locker room in the hotel for all your ski gear. We had a wonderful stay and the hotel catered for all our needs. We would highly recommend and if were back in Val dIsere will most definitely stay here. Thanks again to all the staff

  Gorgeous, cosy alpine hotel with lovely helpful staff :)

  Myself, my husband, mother-in-law and our two boys (aged 6 months and 4.5 years) stayed in this hotel a couple weeks ago. We arrived at the hotel very late and still the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful and we were able to grab a bite to eat downstairs in the restaurant no problem. This was our first ski trip with both boys and I have to say that staying at this hotel just made our trip extremely enjoyable. We were given a lovely room with a travel cot for our 6 month old and the cot was made up with lovely soft bedding. Our room was much bigger than we had expected and our 4.5 year old was crazy excited when he saw the bunk beds in the room. I loved having the toilet in a separate room to the shower and sink and we had a lovely double sink to use. The decor was really cosy, wood everywhere and we had a shared balcony overlooking the main street. You could definitely hear people out on the streets coming from bars and restaurants but this didn't keep any of us awake ;) Our bed was lovely and big and comfortable. We needed to store some medication for our 6 month old in a fridge and the staff kept it behind the bar for us as we had no fridge in our room. We had to ask for the medication 3 times a day and all the staff were so accommodating even when it was late at night. That really made a difference to us as we were already stressed at having a sick baby with us. The breakfast was lovely and varied, plenty to choose from and the ski locker room was perfect for storing our gear, very safe and convenient. There was a kids play room behind the bar area which was so handy when our son wanted some play time off the slopes, and we could sit just next to it having a drink if we wanted and keep an eye on him. Just a lovely well thought out layout for people with kids. I would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat, next time we go to Val d'Isère this is where we'll choose for our family. Besides the excellent staff and gorgeous alpine decor, the location of this hotel is amazing, close to the nursery slopes and lifts and to the shops, restaurants, and bars.

  ski trip

  nice hotel great location and outstanding staff. They were always very helpful. the bar and dining room was always fun filled and good food. The hotel is a classic alpine design of Beautiful wood structure. the ski lockers are convientluy located and were a big help.

  Best three star

  Right in the center of the village can walk easily everywhere although must walk a little carring skiis. The is very nice with nice breakfast room and a nice comfortable salon with a fireplace that maybe should be lited all day.rooms with all needed not small not big but clean and warm.But most of is the polite and friendly stuff that meet all your needs with a smile thank you
