Comfortable apartmentJust back from a weeks holiday here. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and perfect for the two of us. There was an outdoor pool and a very nice indoor one, a gym and a sauna. The staff on reception were very helpful and although we arrived early had left the keys stuck to the window on reception. This was very welcome as we had quite a long journey. The down side to this location was that there was really no where to walk around it as it was a built up area. There was a car journey of about 15/20 mins to St Malo through quite busy traffic and lots of roundabouts. Once in St Malo it was well worth the visit. A crepe van and a pizza van visited the site - nice! I thought the package from Brittany ferries was excellent re price.

Beware - read the reviews! Not easy to find - close (helpfully??) to Carrefour Hypermaket in Centre Commerciale on very edge of St Malo - avoid rush hours. Not convenient for St Malo beaches but good for Cancale & coast to N & NW of Cancale. Accommodation basic, at best. We expected to have our son with us so took 2 bedroom apartment - one wardrobe only and a few small drawers in bathroom, so no clothes storage to speak of. Large bed/settee in main room - but no soft chairs and only wooden seated dining chairs. BUT main drawback, especially for us older people, was the (almost unbelievable) arrangement of an upstairs bathroom with shower over bath, but only a downstairs lavatory ....... and this in modern holiday apartments! The lavatory door (just inside the front entrance of the property) opened directly onto the kitchen/dining/sitting area. All in all, pretty basic - but the price just about reflected this.

Basic, be prepared!Visited for short break with Brittany Ferries, well priced. First, DON'T arrive outside reception hours (see your booking form). Take all cleaning products as nothing there, yet they expect the place to be immaculate when you leave, on penalty of up to 260 Euros taken from your credit card. (Or you can pay 59E for a cleaner) As said, one small wardrobe between 2 bedrooms, NO drawers or place to put cases etc. Bed OK but low. Hard 2 seater sofa in lounge and hard wood dining chairs.. No work surfaces, no oven. The only toilet is downstairs - why? Outside space has no privacy, table and chairs almost touching the ones next door. We complained of ants the first day (even got into food cupboard) and were offered a Hoover to sweep them up! Had to buy ant spray as well as other cleaning products. Wi-fi not very good and is charged. Nowhere to walk as in commercial area. You can bring your car to the door to unload but it must be parked in the car park, a short walk away. The complex is lots of terraced 2/3 storey duplex's, grouped together. Quite noisy with lots of children running about (to be fair this is most definitely a family complex, not for a couple seeking a quiet, comfortable break). You are expected to strip the beds and take the sheets to reception when departing (as is common in France you make up the beds yourself on arrival). They also require you to clean and defrost the fridge freezer before you go - not easy when you have to be out of the apartment by 10am!) Positives - very clean. The reception staff are friendly. some don't speak English (which is fair enough!) Reasonably priced when done on a ferry deal so it is good for families - just don't expect any little luxuries!

Excellent stay, will be returning shortlyWe have just returned from a stay at this residence over the half term weekend. We booked it after reading the other reviews and it was exactly what we expected. Rooms are basic but very clean and have everything you need. The communal areas including the pools were clean and well kept. Very family orientated, great location and we will be returning again shortly. I would highly recommend these lodgings for families and couples alike.

Run down and needs cleaningFamily stay. Kids liked the pool. Whole place is shabby. Accommodation needs a good clean and some maintenance. Useful base to explore the area but would not recommend. Staff are friendly and aware of things that need fixing but I got the impression that management didn't care about upkeep.
